Due to an impending upgrade to bigger turbo and injectors, I am changing to an adaptronic ECU
This means that my excellent HKS F-CON is up for sale. The F-CON is a piggy back ECU that plugs directly into the standard ECU and remaps the fueling. The F-CON also has a 3 bar MAP sensor included, which means that it can get a much more accurate reading of the Turbo boost and therefore deliver superior performance.
The F-CON will give more power and torque than the N1 ECU. I recently compared the N1 with the F-CON on a dyno run and the F-CON destroyed the N1 in terms of performance. Click here to view the thread.
Below is a graph of the dyno results of that test. This graph shows the power and torque of the standard, N1, and F-CON. Standard is the lowest, N1 middle and F-CON of course the highest.
The F-CON will give 80.7bhp on a standard engine with .9 boost. It really makes a big difference over the standard, especially if you up the boost. I tried it at 1.2bar once, it was scary!!!!
Installation is simple, it comes wired with a Cappuccino loom so it is just plug and play. The only other thing to do is to connect the MAP sensor to the engine, which is really easy, comes with a T-piece and hose to do that.
In terms of reliablitly, I have had the F-CON for three years and my cappo has never missed a beat. I am only selling it due to getting bigger injectors and turbo.
Included in the package is a fuel cut defenser, which means you can dial up the boost over and above the factory limit of 1.13bar.
The only thing it does not do is remove the 87mph speed limit, but that is very easy to remedy.

Yes folks, you read correctly, I have now soldered my PAL sport de-limiter into the F-CON loom so that this awesome plug and play device will now stop the 87mph limiter!
AND...... I have reduced the price to £450, so this N1 beating ECU has more capability and is cheaper. I must be mad. The lucky buyer will even get the hose and T-piece to that connects to the inlet manifold for the 3-bar MAP sensor - wow.
