Hey that video was great. I really want that kit now. But I am scared that my engine has 125,00km and if it will cause reliability problems or any mechanical problems. I really dont want anything to happen to it as it is my only car, daily driver and I am a student with a lack of funds to muck around with. If I was to get the kit is there anything i have to do such as a rebuilt or is it just all bolt on. And any idea on how much estimate with kit installed would set me back?
Yes it is my car up on carsales. I am confused on wether or not to sell it because I am using it as a daily driver and I have almost finished my studies and when I get a full time job if it far I dont want to be driving it very far because at times when your using it as a daily driver it gets a bit un-confutable but people complimenting it make up for it. And second reason is that there are so many stupid drivers out there that have almost hit my car I drive with such caution and care yet people some how manage just pull out in front of me without looking etc. |

when u get a full time job u will be able to get a daily.. thats what most of us are doing... dont sell the capp as you might very well regret it. its not easy to find.
if you are afraid that people might not see you, get a new horn... i got a BMW horn and i love blasting it at people who cant see me.. and also, get a BOV..that way people will hear u coming

The kit itself will set you back 1700-2000, then labour to install or you can do it yourself
All you need to swap is the ECU (unplug), the turbo (bit tricky to do), and the injectors
It's certainly not the most convenient car to own, i had an assignment to do today, and had to borrow a bigger car in order to carry the big sheets of cardboard home.
But it's fun, i guess you have to not have a lifestyle that requires much more space. |

was told mine done 80,000 ks b4 they replaced the speedo which has 12,000 ks on them.. i find it hard to believe though, only 92,000 ks for a 1992 car...
another thing that puts me in doubt is the fact that the speedo only has space for 6 digits where as other cars have 7.
would you believe it has gone around once? |

why did they replace the speedo? no real reason usually, unless it was damaged, and that rarely happens unless you're tinkering back there
as it's been said before, more important checks exist for any car, than just odometer numbers.
a car with 1000 kms that lives on redline is going to detonate years before one with 120 000kms, that has been taken care of
if you intend on upgrading the turbo etc etc, i'd suggest getting the engine checked out first before you pump more power through it - compression test, and an assessment of some sort. |

And, i must admit - honestly, it's pretty disappointing to read your for sale ad, considering you only just purchased it, and how deceiving it is.
"I have been the proud owner for the past 3 years." "It is warmed up 5min before driving in summer and 10min in winter."
Not my business, but as an enthusiast, i had to mention it. |

Yeah true the life expectancy of an engine dpends on how good u take care of it, even if we, the new owners take good care of it, we wouldn't know if the previous owner trashed it.
They changed the speedo to the 200+ km/hr one
I think DRCAPP jus copy pasted the previous owners add. |

I am not selling at anymore. Its not that people dont see me its that there are so many bloody stupid drivers out there that are just careless and the new rule kinda is freaking me out if someone hits it straight away now its possible they will call it a statuary write off. SUX
If I sell it I want one that isnt in the best condition and hopefully I have a full time job by than so I can restore it my self the way I want.
No I did not copy the previous owners add he rote 2 sentences about it lol. I did not put up the add either my older brother did. He wrote everything etc his got to make it sound good.
But to be honest dont know if im crazy but I actually do warm my car up in the mornings for 10min while Im getting ready. And if I drive more than 2km without even driving hard I cool it down for about 2min lol.

Warming up that long isn't good for the car, as the gearbox is still ice cold, and it's not breathing through cool air regardless
A write off is always on the cards with this type of car, through the simple cost of replacing
Some see that as good, some as bad |

Warming up is not bad, but not 10 mins long.
I generally warm it up till there is a slight movement in the temp needle.
Thanks Ming |

Not so much 'bad' as useless/wasting petrol. |

Warm up for one minute, or until the temp needle hits the bottom of the scale, so says the manual. After 10 mins you're wasting fuel for zero benefit, and if you take off quickly just remember your gearbox fluid is still ice cold. |

Yes that is basically what I do most the times just wait till it hits the first line unless I got time to leave it or for 5 or so minutes.
Are Cappuccino's in general hard to sell? Curious because I have sold many car's before on car sales in normally within a day or 2 my phone doesnt stop ringing people wanting to know details about the car etc. So far nothing for the Cappuccino just wondering out of curiosity? |

Not sure about cappuccino's but ive had similar issue with other modern classic cars. Biggest thing going against it is how old it is. People seem to think that newer is better.. might be the case for the economy, but not really for quality of car. |

Used car market has crashed for imports, and no one will buy a cappuccino unless they know what it is first - it's not one of the popular cars people search for on carsales
Keep in mind how long the seller you bought from had it up for ( 9 months ? ) - at the same price you're asking
That's why i was happy to buy mine, i got it for cheap, so im happy to sell it cheap |

exactly what i think. Cappies and the other members of the 'ABC' are only for enthusiasts i reckon.
if only they had more AZ-1s and Beats here in WA |
