How similar are the struts from a cappo to the AZ-1? really curious to know if cappo struts can fit, or even if it wouldn't be too difficult to modify and get em in? |

The AZ-1 uses Macpherson struts all round whereas the cappuccino uses double wishbones. I'm not an engineer but it would require a lot of fabricating if it can be done, assuming any of the cappo parts can be used at all. |

Yeah thats what I thought. I looked for a while and could really find any pictures of the suspension setup. I figured they would be quite different but better to ask and be sure : ) Thanks for the reply! |

Are you thinking of replacing what you have on the AZ-1? Are you looking for something stock or do you like the aftermarket options the cappo has available? |

The AZ-1 suspension is completely different to the cappo. I pretty sure they used the Macpherson struts and hub carriers from the front of the Alto Works all round, the rears are just locked in place, and the suspenion units are identical front and back, apart from the spring rates. I'm not certain of the suspension itself but I'd guess that the top mounts are the same as the Alto too. |

...here's a pic of my coilovers if that helps - purple are rears and black are front, apart from the spring rates (which I've since changed) they are exactly the same.

I was looking for coilovers : ) Lots more options for the cappo so I was just wondering if I could go that route.
I've found 2 brands for the AZ-1, Ricerocket, and Silk road. I'm leaning on the silk road right now, you guys have any opinions on yes / no / maybe. So you think Alto suspension would work too? That at least give me more places to look! |

Just had a look at an under bonnet pic of an Alto and the top mounts look identical. If you do go the coilover route make sure thei're not too stiff - mine were 350lb front and 500lb rear which was way too stiff. Cost me a bit in replacement springs to find that 225F and 250R makes for a reasonabley comfortable drive and still keeps the car very stiff! |

been a long time since I updated Here is a new picture of my car. The new New suspension is Silk-road RM/K8-SP coilovers. adjusted to be 1.2" lower than the mazdaspeed suspension I had in there. These ride soooooo nice. I honestly could not believe the difference, The rid is stiff but smooth and not rough or bouncy. Very very nice kit. 100% worth it. I also have new wheels / tires. Leonis CX wheels from weds sports, and the tires are hankook Ventus V8RS. I'm really happy with my car Love the way it looks and drives now!!

Looks great Brian, I like the look without the rear wing too! Did you go with the standard spring rates on the Silk roads? I think they offer 4K front and 6k rear normally? |
