Hi All, First off an apology. Due to personal stuff this project fizzled out. The good news now is i'm back on the case trying to get an ECU mapping service up and running. Think i just managed to lay my hands on a N2 map file which is tuned to some injectors that wont be too hard to source.

Be nice to gauge an interest so let me know what you think of the project getting under way. Hopefully there are a few of you out there interested.

Cheer all, Dan

Dan im running an N2 so if you want to look at my ECU for a comparison then give me a call.

with an N2 you can use the Starlet turbo injectors 295cc direct fit

Update time:

Iv Just received shipment of my 1st set of injectors from a supplier.

These are 320cc and the same fitment as the standard Cappuccino injectors. They aren't new but come fitted with new o-rings, filter baskets, lower seals, and grommets to give these injectors a new lease of life. They also have been pulsed and and cleaned to guarantee smooth flow rates. Also each set has been flow tested and matched for peak performance.

Thought these would be a better option than say a set from a second hand starlet turbo or other car. This way you don't run the risk of being dodgy.

These will be supplied with the N2 style remap package once its been dyno'd.

Hoping to get some time emulating these on the dyno over winter while the racing side is quiet.

We may get the opportunity to test some different bolt-ons too while we're on with it to get some more definitive answers to whether this or that exhaust is better, what type of air filters work well etc etc.

Anyone wanting to have a particular item dyno tested might want to come forward so we can get something organised.

Might be worth starting a new thread, come to think.....

So presumably there will be a couple of options

1) no hardware change just remove speed limit
2) 295cc injectors required and new fuel map to suit with wastegate set/ bleed off to achieve 1.2 bar

Sounds like a great idea, sent you a PM Wayne

The ECU requires a hardware modification even to run a standard file with removed speed limiter. If you are going to the trouble of that it would just be as easy to run a N1 spec map suited to the standard injectors and turbo. I also have a generic fuel map tuned to 320cc injectors up to 1.3bar, this needs testing though.

You can lift the speed limit with a KMH converter fitted inside the ECU so it's plug and play, or so you can return it to stock with just an ECU swap rather than altering the loom.

I'll look at my PMs later, just finished working and it's gone 1 am here....

That depends on the car's spec and the fuel grade.

Any progress on a pricelist for  mods?

I'd be interested in a 1.25Bar boost map so std boost limit  turned off

add my voice to the crowd - re-map sounds good, and Chippenham isn't too far (plus I regularly visit family near there).

Update time guys. Well sorry to say my rusty little cappo shell finally made its way to the scrap heap. Despite this im still willing to have a shot with this ECU mapping venture one last time before i cut my losses and move on to bigger things ie an s2000, lol.

So im here looking for a guinea pig so to speak. Someone with a cappo willing to travel to the wiltshire area. Ill pay to have your car dyno'd on a stock and N1 spec ECU. Preferably someone with a bigger exhaust and better filter to make the best of the map. Even better would be someone running a hitachi or suzuki sport ecu as well to test the higher boost map and big injectors.

Anyone interested?

Update time!

So ever one following this thread will be glad to know im once again the owner of another Cappuccino. Was a big decision after having my last one turned on its roof by a bunch of piss heads but most of you know these little cars are far to addictive and hard to give up.

Spent the weekend getting some bits on her i had stored from my other car, xenons, monster filter, fitting a new alternator belt and more importantly some 8 rated plugs and my re-mapped ecu. Hoping to get her on a dyno within the next few weeks, can anyone suggest a good rolling road preferably close to Chippenham, Wiltshire?
