Congrats on all this
I experienced a similar thing when trying to install by myself an alarm with remote engine start, oh man the wiring wasn't my strong suit |

well took the plunge and got another turbo, its a fekkin' whopper! Large in terms of normal 4 stroke engines but for these exhaust gas devourers its small ! i can also v mount my rad and gain some ground clearance too as it was quite in the line of fire.. as my primaries are 54mm i/d before the turbo i needed a t4 housing ( t6 would be ideal but not enough space.. ) and run an external wastgate so this was my weapon of choice courtesy of my rotary shop - he is a good chap !
you can see the size difference old from new now
space even more tight...brackets are just fixed any way how to hold turbo where i want it to sit so i can now work out where the pair of primary pipes marry up to the t4 inlet. Once manifold is built proper tubular brackets will support the new blower

had a bit more time on death sled before my head started to give me grief again- cut out front crossmember to accomodate the new intercooler, old one was no where near big enough to cope with the engine, theres just enough space to get another bit of crossbar welded in . Like my new slave labour ?? the grandson of the land owner always sneaks over as he loves seeing this car , he wants to come out in it big time lol
Also with the front cut away it now gives me loads of room to get at welding in the primary pipes for the turbo |

Awesome Pete! I just read Bobs thread and after, now just finished your continuing story.
I'm in Sydney and really keen to get this going on my build. Glad to see yippee still going with it. I've Pm'd you with some questions. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing this beast with you further! |
