A few months ago we were investigating big brake kits globally and coming up with nothing being available or for extortionate prices. I approached a couple of the well known people in the UK but the only firm who was prepared to develop the kit was Z cars in Hull. I am pleased to announce that they have now completed the development and a kit is available form them. The kit was designed to use the existing alloy wheels so that limited it to a 255mm disc coupled with adaptor brackets and Wilwood four pot calipers. The discs will be available off the shelf so no problems getting parts in the future and are off a Rover 800 if I remember ( long, long time Paul spent with part numbers and brake catalogues to find a match ). We decided these were needed as we love going to the Isle Of Man and basically have a blast on deresticted roads. You may not need this stuff to pootle on UK roads but it does look good. Soon as I get round to getting it fitted and the car comes out of hibernation I will let you know what its like More parts for the Cappi seem to be in the Uk now than Japan !

Excellent
Please confirm which discs as Rover 800s seem to be 262mm discs but still should actually be cheaper than Cappo ones |

Z cars will have it on their website but I think you are looking at about £600. We had to pay for CAD work etc so cost us a bit more. I will have to ask Paul which Rover 800 as it was a model that changed a few times if I remember. Will try to find out and confirm. We did not do anything with the rears as they don't do a great deal and until we test its not clear if it will be needed. I run Black Diamond rear as normal. Would need a caliper with a handbrake attachment or a bracket again for the normal caliper |

Checked over the weekend and the discs were from a Rover 820 1987 - 91. Straight fit |

I can prob get ther kit made for £400. Can get the brackets made on car easily enough so we can use bigger disks. Wildwood calipers are exspensive at all. |

Any further information on this?
Are any mods required in upgrading the booster or master cylinder. I've just ordered the kit. |

Awesome to hear you've ordered the kit Brian! Would be great if you could post up a blog covering the fitment and improved braking results! The kit is now on my wish list |
