I have a leaking oil sump and I wonder what is the best and quickest way to replace it. I know most people are saying to do it from underneath and move the gearbox back a few inches then remove the old sump however, I am prepared to take it to the local garage who only charge £30 an hour. So the question is, what's the best and quickest way for the garage to remove it, from above or below? Thanks guys billy |

should be able to remove sump from underneath without lifting up the engine, gearbox most likely will need to come out to get enough room. |

Sorry I have been a long time getting back, the local garage guy welded the sump and a boss on the end of the drain plug, so everything is fine now and I had a full service at the same time, so I am good once again. |
