How do I replace the offside hand brake cable?  Do I need to remove the console, or can I get access from underneath the car?

Where can I get a replacement cable?  Suzuki quote £70.  Are pattern parts available?

It is done from underneath and should be covered in the service manual.  I'll look up the page numbers when I get home.

There are aftermarket cables available and can be found on ebay, here's one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301226259023

I have a genuine workshop manual, but cannot find information on how to replace the cable.  What service manual are you referring to?

Can Blueprint supply the rubber boots for the sliding pins and piston on the rear caliper?

Just had a look through and couldn't find it either.  Seems an odd oversight.

There is a metal plate that is attached to the handbrake lever.  The left and right cables are attached to this.  Undo the connection at the caliper first and then follow the brake cable back and there is at least one screw/bolt to undo.  it should then detach from the plate.

Is this accessed from under the car?  Do I need to remove the gearbox?

Underneath yes.  No need to touch the gearbox as the handbrake mechanism is behind the gearbox.

Thanks for your help.  It was very difficult to replace the cable, due to restricted access and having to drill out the bushing at the caliper.  However, 4 hours later, one brake cable replaced.
