So, after using copious amounts of silicone spray on the seals on the T-bar roof piece, there's still water getting in. I've pulled all the carpet out to leave out over winter as that'll just speed up the floorpans' deterioration at this rate. The two long rubber strips that are along the the long edges of the T-bar I think are the culprits (or atleast one of them) as it has come unstuck, so I would guess allowing water in. What would be the best thing to stick that back to the T-bar with? A one piece roof is fast becoming a desirable mod now...

I thought the roof panels all had channels that sent the water back out if it gets past the seals anyway, the glue that's on the new seals / strips is a black thick type that looks very much like polyurethane adhesive, the same sort you stick body kits on with, a good brand that comes to mind is tiger seal but most factors that sell 2 part paint should have it as its the only glue you should really use.

The good ones come in metal tubes that you break the seal before screwing on a nozzle, warm it up to about 40 degree's before squirting and it should come out nice.

During the winter months I don,t suppose you would take the roof off ???  So what I did was to simply tape over the joins on the roof and t-bar and also where the rear glass bottom edge meets the seal ---- If the carpat gets wetted it would take ages to dry out and when damp all the windows steam-up ( switching the air con on gets rid of the condensation very quickly.  )The most vulnerable place for water ingress is I think , where the roof bar meets the rear quarter tape that up as well...  The roof is great but I,m afraid it,s not watertight ............Use a matt-black insulation tape --you wouldn,t really notice !!!

The carpet is out of mine at the moment so I can trace it. I also don't have any of the rear plastic shelf or trim in, as I wasn't fond of it anyway! Last time I had my cappo out it never leaked a drop. But it was sat in my workshop for over a year with the roof off. I'll get creative with the seals to make sure they're airtight

Oh, and I have no aircon either. There's no evidence of mine ever existing any more
