I am desperately seeking a driver's side front wing, after a car park bump damaged my beloved Cappo. The insurers state that she is not worth repairing, and have written the car off. (Funny, I thought collectable classics are worth repairing!)
I have owned the car since 1998, and want to keep her alive! |

Bad luck. I had a lady in a Discovery pull straight out in front of me last September. She looked straight over the top of me! The resulting dent in the nearside wing was expertly repaired by my local garage (who happen to be a classic car restorer too) as an insurance job for the princely sum of £735 including VAT. I suspect had I broken the headlight this would have been a write off too. The dent repair rather than wing replacement was decided partially due to the time to get a new wing (there were apparently none in the country at the time) but also to ensure the costs were contained to avoid a write off.
