I am looking for a new steering wheel to buy but am completely lost on what size to go for. I was looking at a 270mm momo but I can't test it since the car is currently in storage.

Oh God.....

I thought you Americans ATE doughnuts, now it seems you use them in place of steering wheels.

270mm..?

27cm....?

10.5"....?

and you want that to control the direction of travel of a very short wheelbase car with (according to you) 500whp!?

I hope you're very good at juggling and tap-dancing at the same time because you'll be doing plenty of both just trying to keep it in a straight line.

If I were you I'd leave the car in storage where it can keep your brain company.
Hth.

(Hi Andy, I wouldn't blame you for a second if you deleted this  )

This is not for my cappuccino, it's for a honda beat I recently purchased and the stock steering wheel is just annoying. The cappuccino is getting worked on but it's no where near 500hp, that's my plan but right now it's not at that level.
American do like doughnuts, I am not American but I do enjoy a doughnuts from time to time, they are good.wouldn't consider  myself fat I weight 135 pounds.

Aah....

That explains it.

You see I made the mistake of reading your posting before you edited it.
(This sentence makes a lot more sense with the full-stop immediately after the word 'posting').

You (probably very wisely) deleted the bit that said 'so what size do you guys () use?'.

Now what with this forum being called 'Club Cappo' and relating very largely to the Suzuki Cappuccino, it didn't seem to be too great a leap of logic to reach the conclusion that the steering wheel in question was destined to be attached to a (very possibly imaginary) Cappuccino.

It seems this is not the case.

Without any mention of it anywhere in any of your postings on this site you now 'own' a Honda Beat and your enquiry supposedly relates to that.

Hmm.

It's only a suggestion but if in future you want any more advice on the Honda Beat there would be infinitely better places to start than a Suzuki Cappuccino site.

Now the apology.

Please forgive me for suggesting that you are American.
I can understand how very wounding that could be to someone who isn't.

Or even someone who is.

The only excuse I have is an early posting of yours in which you said 'American here' by way of some sort of explanation.

Finally (yippee) I was wondering in what way the Honda Beat's steering wheel is 'annoying' and at what point you reduced your aim to have 500Whp from a Cappuccino to 'merely' 500hp.

How about some pictures....

Your jumping to many conclusion Bulletproof kimono. Imaginary? Well hey we all have our opinion I honestly don't care to argue with someone on the Internet.
Now on to the honda beat.
I recently bought it, I am not looking for advice on it now, since the car work like new. I am just looking for what size steering wheel other people use on their kei car. I don't like the stock steering wheel not because it's to big or anything it's just because it's not really my style and it just looks big on the car.
I really don't mind being called American, I like America and think it's a good place. The reason why I haven't finally finished up the cappuccino is because my funds are kinda low now from school and other projects.
I will try to take some photos of the cappuccino when I am up north again, since the shop I have it in is out my state.
'so what size do you guys () use' I don't remember putting that on my original post and instead of deleting on it I added to it and put the size of the wheel I was looking at.
As for the honda here is a  photo of it when I picked it up from the port.

And this is the current wheel.

That steering wheel is HUUUUGE!  It's not original though.  A 270mm steering wheel will look and feel much better.

Just out of curiosity, what country are you in?

I live in the usa in the sunny city of miami. The car is currently in storage in Canada waiting for 2017 (that when it's 25 year old and can get into the usa). And I completely agree with you that steering wheel feel out of place on it. I am a small dude and my legs where constantly rubbing on it.
The specific wheel I was looking at is a momo 27c (http://www.momousa.com/racing/steering-wheels/mod-27c.html)

Cool wheel, there is no way in hell that would be legal in Australia.

Oh dear!  I think the heat has got to Keith!!!!

Best bet with steering wheels I found was to go to somewhere that stocks a large number so you can get an actual feel of the wheel.  I did this and then went and found the best price elsewhere

I'm sure one of our Beat owning members will happily take a pic and measurement of the standard wheel for comparison.

Drop me a PM if you would like to be added to the ClubCappo Member Map.  More details can be found here.
