My wife's Cappo failed the MOT this morning on severely corroded suspension points.  It passed on everything else.  My local welder had a look and said it's a lot of work and will be upwards of £1000.  He cannot give an exact price as it depends how it goes.  So we decided that it's time for it to go and we bought a very smart Daihatsu Copen this afternoon!  The Cappo is UK spec with 54,500 miles on it.  In addition to the expensive welding underneath it also needs cosmetic work done on three wings which are showing signs of rust in the wheelarches.

My thinking on this car is that it might cost perhaps £1500 in welding and then still fail a future MOT because the rust has got a hold somewhere else!

Anyway, the purpose of this post is to kindly ask your opinions on how I should price it when I put it up for sale.  The numberplate is not included.  I will probably list it on Ebay.  The car is in Cheddar, Somerset.

Cheers.  Bruce.
