The window motor on the passenger side stopped closing the window, resulting in me pulling the glass up, whilst operating the window, to close it.
Thinking that the rubber drive wheel had sheared (as previously on the drivers side motor), I purchased a second hand Suzuki Ignis motor, and fitted it to the window mechanism.
Being a born, tinkerer, I took the Cappuccino motor apart, to discover that the drive shaft that engages with the lifting mechanism, had corroded, and seized in its housing. I cleaned up the drive shaft, greased the bearing and shaft, and reassembled the motor which now works perfectly.
So, for any of you with a faulty window motor, strip and inspect the motor drive shaft, before purchasing a second hand Cappuccino motor (£257!) or Ignis motor £16).

Good to know the Ignis motor fits . Is it the same side motor or opposite side? Are they the same for all first gen years?
