The dust cover on the rear disc brake has rusted and broken off.  If I can get a replacement, how do I remove the wheel hub and access the remains of the dust cover?

I always just leave them off when they do that on any car.

Hi
I have ordered a dust cover from Levois, as a neighbour suggested that it was required for the MOT.
So, any help and advice on replacing the cover would be greatly appreciated, or I will have to pay exorbitant garage labour charges.
Thanks.

The hubs have to come off to install them.  Complete pain in the a*se and certainly not required for the MOT.  The problem is damage you could do to the wheel bearings that then mean they need pressing out and new ones putting in...

Hi Andy
Thanks for the reply.  As the cover is not required for the MOT, best "let sleeping dogs lie", and not disturb the wheel bearing.

That would be my thoughts too.  Put it into storage for if the bearing needs doing.
