When I decelerate and then accelerate quickly, there is a loud "clonk" from the drive train. It appears to come from behind the rear bulkhead, rather than from the gearbox. The left and right driveshafts can be turned by hand, with no detectable free play. Gearbox and diff oil were changed at the appropriate service interval.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Sounds like your diff bushes are going/gone. Common problem on these. Steve Hole does sell some poly bushes for them on the Facebook page if you fancy upgrading them over the standard rubber ones from Suzuki. |

Hi Pepito Thanks for the reply. Are these the diff bushes? Sorry, this is my first car, which I have owned since 1998. |

Yep those are the 2 bushes for the carrier and there is also one at the back, it is part of the diff housing. That one is likely to be your culprit https://images.app.goo.gl/W6BRhyb6wc5Td9tSA |
