Going to be selling my red import Cappo this week as a whole for spares and wondered what you guys thought it was worth. The floorpan has been welded before but is in very bad shape, that is the reason am selling as a spares car. The inner wings have been welded and then painted in like a wax oil black stuff to stop furthers rust. There is also rust on the o/s front wing around repeater and on the body just below the bottom hinges. The drivers door electric window goes down but clicks if you try to put it up so have to help it. On the good side it has a good engine and box and nothing wrong with it mechanics side other than the manifold wants swapping but it will come with a bran new one with gasket. It has a cat1 alarm on it. Interior is all clean and no damage etc There are some people on here that know the car. It's reg is L963 DAG Will try and get some pics up sunday if possible but am working solid to try and fund another car. I was thinking about £600 is that fair???

Also worth adding that it has electric door mirrors and a stainless exhaust and that the diff and gearbox have been rebuilt at some point

As for value prices are all over the place at the moment so very hard to say.

Would their be any point for me possibly looking into buying this to bring to Aus?
Considering I wouldnt be driving it for atleast 12 months anyway?

Or do you think it would be cheaper to wait and buy one that rarely goes up for sale already in the country EA11R standard are priced at roughly $11kAUD... ??
opinion would be great please Andy

EDIT: Because i wont be driving it for at least 12 months... In the mean time I could fix it up?  Or is it too messy?

Unless Dmccullough is planning a trip to Australia, theres not much point importing it. While it is possible to bring Cappa's into the country, it is current Impossible to register these imports, as nobody has done the safety tests required. The only exception is that of a personal import, in which it can be imported and registered without much hassle. To do a personnal import that you have to prove thst you have Owned and Lived with said vehicle in another country for 12 months. There are again exceptions to this rule, but only if you frequently live in different countries (5months there, 4months here, ect)

I'd agree with the others that it would be best to look for one locally.
