Does any one have experience with these type products not necessarily cappo specific? Actual benefits compared to website claims of bhp increases etc? I have a slightly larger turbo in my cappo. Was thinking of getting this set up with starlet injectiors as a cheaper alternative to N1 ecu. It seems to have worked well on 132bhp cappo for sale on this forum... |

I haven't had experience of this. I doubt you will get much gains...
Was that cappuccino correct at having 132 bhp. i doubt it?
If you have a larger turbo why not go with the n 2 and laroger injectors.

Having viewed some of the chats on this forum about N2 problems with idling etc I don't know would I like one. Plus I only have a slightly bigger turbo so don't know how well the N2 would work with it. I can buy injectors, apexi neo and fuel cut 2nd hand with a bit of haggling for about 200 euro and if I got similar gains to a N1 to between 80 - 100 bhp I would be very happy. I don't think it would ever make even close to 132 bhp. In fairness though the 132bhp cappo would have a k6a engine? Which may have been de tuned more than the f6a! |

The 132bhp Cappu has a F6A, the K6A thing is a typo. I've seen a pic of it's engine bay, it's not a K6A.
Btw Ollie, I've read a bit about the Apexi Neo, and I think it's a bit risky. With bigger injectors, you'll use the Neo to trick the stock ECU to think the intake pressure is lesser than what it really is, so you don't run too rich and over-fuel the engine. That's not an issue.
The issue is that it will have a side effect: you'll run more ignition advance (more aggressive timing), which will help increase power, but if there's too much might cause detonation and engine failure. |

Thanks for the info Ricou. Do you know can the apexi be tuned to safe levels of air fuel ration so as not to cause aggressive timing and possible engine failure? |

I think is best to speak with local tuning company see their experience is!
I'd assume any piggyback will need to be set up on rolling road! |

From the limited research I have done on these systems I think they can be tuned by the user without a rolling road. There seems to be 2settings on them, basic and professional. The difference being the professional mode provides double the intervals at which points along the RPM gauge that fuel air ratio can be adjusted. Perhaps for this mode a rolling road would provide best results. I do know they are very popular among the civic/turbo starlet owners |

If you get a tuning company to set it up, maybe they could adjust the base timing (with the distributor) so there's no detonation after adjusting A/F ratio. |

To be on the save side, even if you tune it yourself is defo worth going on the rolling road to have A/F checked, well or you can fit a wideband lambda! |
