Hi All,
It seems like we are spread accross the Country but share a love of the same car. I'm looking at doing an import in June or July this year. Preferrably from the U.K. It seems that there are many in the U.K. and the prices are much better than Japan, including shipping. I have a cottage in Quebec, so it's possible we could have a 2 Cappo meet this summer! If any one U.K. side is looking to sell in that time frame, I'll be looking for Red or Dark Blue. Although I have to say the yellow one recently posted looks awesome. I have a reasonable shipping price to the port of Halifax so far. Much to be done between now and then! |

Isn't there a silver Cappo for sale in Edmonton at this time? Or at least a few weeks ago. If I buy mine from Japan this summer I'll be going through Edmonton on my way back to Ontario. We could have the biggest Cappiccino meeting in the History of Edmonton! Or maybe even Alberta! |

That would work, especially since I'm hoping you'll help me out with the import when it arrives. I have the feeling you'll see my Cappo before I see it. I keep changing auction houses that I like and the latest one seems great on the Cappo price but they are looking at $1400 for shipping to Van by container. I think Ro-Ro would be a lot cheaper and then I think of your experience and think the extra may not be so bad. IBC seems to have good car prices but their fees are 88,000 jpy to do their bit. That seems to include all paper work so it's not too bad.
I think perhaps we could all meet on Grenville Island under the bridges, cool photo op! |

Hey nishka! have you been to Grandville Island? It would be great if we can meet there and take some pics. Give me a shout if you need my help. |

Hey Evening_Kids,
At this point I'm pretty positive I will need your help. Boy it's beeen a learning curve and it seems like everyone in Japan has their own set of rules! Yes I've been to Granville Island. Spent an afternoon at a Pub called Bridges. I imagine it is still there but it's been 20 years since I was there so who knows. The market was awesome there as well. We definately will have to get together and take some group Cappo pics. |

I think that was just south of Edmonton in Calgary, I'm pretty sure I'm the only cappuccino in Edmonton, but Edmonton does have a Honda beat... but all it would ever see would be my taillights
biggest cappuccino meet it would be! you don't understand the looks the car gets in the province, to have 3 of them cruising along I think people would have a heart attack. |

I did see the Beat of which you speak advertised for sale at a Chrysler dealer of all things, this past sumer.
I have no doubts there will be looks, I still get looks driving my Smart Fortwo. Three Cappos together will probably be front page news for the Edmonton Journal!!!!
The plan is for the week of August 10th, however reality may be something else of course. So far I have clearance from everyone except my bank account. I have a lot to do between now and then. Baby due on June 22nd, but my wife has clearned the August date. Of course she does have a tendancy to change her mind from time to time. Worst case scenario my 4 year old son will make the trip with me. Thank God for portable DVD players!!!! |
