Hi I am close to Montreal.
We have that stupid new law over here in Quebec that limit us to the 70 Km/h roads maximum.
All the Kei Cars are now considered low speeds vehicles. I willl see how it goes next summer but my guess is that there will be a lot of Kei Cars for sale over here.

i know about the rhd import problem ...
it just came into "trial" run to see what would happen
supposed to have ended by now ...
by the way ... i got my cappo in montreal and drove it home.

you quebecois are a strange lot ...
have my eye on a nice toyota sera up your way but
i needed it automatic for the wife and it is a 5 speed ... nice car
at  jdm sunshine ...

i'm about to make some changes to my cappo ...
tranny fluid  N1 install    k&n filter etc and will let everyone know outcome

if you are selling, plse let me know  ... i think the market is tight right now
as there is a great cappo in red for sale in toronto with no takers yet and has
been on the market for at least a year.

Guess what, I got my Cappo in Toronto and drove it home 2 years ago.

There was a silver Sera over here last summer, I believe it was automatic. If I still see it I will let you know.

ross,
the guy with the az is Eric  and the best way is to email him at ...
mityminis@rogers.com

he deals in funny cars  cappos, beats, a lot of minis, old alfas ... some great ones, alpines  etc. etc.
the az is truly fantastic ... yellow with black leather interior (baseball stitch)  spectacular if you like
yellow.

I talked to him on the phone and he sent me some pictures of the AZ-1 he has for sale. It looks as though that might be sitting in my driveway before summer arrives... (Pending spousal approval, of course).

Just don't let her sit in the passenger seat before you buy or you'll never get approval. Mazda stole space from the passenger footwell to give extra space for the driver - there's only space on the passenger side to streach one leg out straight at a time unless you have very small feet.

heard it .... sweet sound.

good luck .... if you do get it, please let me know .... i will pay you a visit in my cappo.
or better yet if you need someone to drive it to your place.....hmmm.

Looks good Are the wheels on there 14's? it looks like it from the profile of the tyres.

Hope you get it - would be good to have another AZ-1 on here. If you've got any questions about AZ-1's in general feel free to ask - I might be able to help.

For all intents and purposes, it is a done deal. Those look like the same wheels that are on your car, except with those painted centre caps.

I'm sure I'll have a an overload of questions!

Here are a few more pictures he sent me:

Take care;

ross

sent you about 20 pictures separately for you to drool over ...
the sound is great 'cause it has a larger mouth exhaust as you can see in the pictures
you posted ...
regular az's do not have leather interiors ... just cloth .... this is real leather and
first quality at that ....

off the list if you want to tell me what $$$ you are negotiating, i may be able to help
lower that.

Here are a few pictures of mine, now that it is home where it belongs:

Fresh out of the carwash, ready for her spotlight:

We don't need front licence plates here, so off they come!

My wife told me she is thankful she didn't wear a skirt! Being the sensitive new-age guy that I am, I just replied that I had no idea what she was talking about...

My mother just shook her head and laughed. I don't want to read too much into that.

Driveways big enough to park RVs in, streets wide enough for armies to march down, houses bland enough to make architects weep - welcome to Canada! Something this incredibly small is making a statement just by being here.

I really enjoyed that first drive. It's so quick! Of course, my daily driver is a diesel Smart...

I took off the rear wing, and I think it looks a lot better!

That one would be mine The Black one at RightDrive. I imported it though a guy in Guelph. Drove it a week and the crakshaft broke. RightDrive is doing the work to get it back in running shape. My goodness its been a Long painful process. I'm picking it up tomorrow after 4 months and 2 weeks. Can't say enough good about the RightDrive guys with everything they have done to assist.

There are some pictures of my car at the RightDrive website that were taken a few months ago shortly after it was dropped off. Its in pretty rough shape in most of those pictures But it's looking ALOT better now. When I can I'll post up some pictures of my own!

So that makes three in Canada that we know of - does anyone have any idea how many are in the country? The guy who imported mine claimed he imported 5 in addition to mine, but I don't believe a word of it. And another guy claims he has seen one in Calgary. Sean, you pointed out that red one for sale in Vancouver. Seen any others?
