I've just insured 3 cars with RH Specialist Car Division for the same(ish) as I was quoted by Prestige for a Cappuccino on its own.
They were; V8 Soarer UZZ 31 £112 Cappuccino £123 Scimitar GTE £ 68! _____ £303
These are all fully comp, 3000miles and include my wife as a driver even though that's never going to happen.
I can only imagine that they've worked out that at 69 I can seldom find the keys and in the unlikely event that I do, I've got no idea where I left the bloody car.
I should mention that I have no connection with RH Specialist Insurance Division other than as a delighted and very surprised customer.
Their phone number is 01277 206912.

I might just get in contact and see if they want to come on board as an insurance partner |

Good plan! I mentioned that I would put it on the Club site and they might hear from you.
The GTE was insured with them already having had them reccommended by the Scimitar and Sabre Owners Club where understandably they seem to have a significant percentage of the business.
When the other two were quoted they asked if I wanted them all to have the same renewal date.
If so, they would have charged the appropriate percentage of the two new premiums and then all three policies would have been due for renewal in November when the GTE policy expires.
On reflection I wish I'd taken this option but will roll it on by adding the GTE to the expiry date of the other two at the next renewal.
The bloke I dealt with couldn't have been more helpful and it was all done by phone in 10 minutes max.
Their "Hold" music really is spectacularly sh!te though .
But, all things considered, not much of a price to pay for a great deal. |

| That does sound like a fantastic deal on insurance but is there any agreed value amounts in place as I would hate to find out after an accident that some assessor probably younger than any of said cars considers the book value of your increasing fleet to be b*gger all minus the excess |

| I've never quite understood why Cappo insurance is so high compared to other sports cars. I have a friend who has a TVR Chimera P registered on 3000 miles per annum, agreed value for £10k, age mid fifties and is a TVR Club member. His insurance was £103 with Footman James last year !!!!! How can TVR Chimera be so much cheaper than a Cappo insured like for like ???!!!!!!! |
