Anyone interested in going.  It's at Santa Pod raceway on the 17 & 18th of July.

http://www.retroshow.co.uk/

A friend of mine with a MR2 mk3 & myself will be going for the weekend & camping.

It's RWYB (run what you brung) on Saturday.  Only £25 for unlimited runs down the track.  Including Scooters!
There's a band on Saturday night for evening entertainment.
On Sunday they have an Autotest, show & shine.
Monster trucks & a jetcar!
Plus some Retro Driftng!

It looks like it'll be a laugh.

This was great, a VW Sirocco Mk1 dressed to look like the back to the future Delorean.  Complete with Mr Fusion.

There was a Club called Rat Look.  Which had cars that look a mess, but straingly appealing.  With some inspired dressing (of the cars).

Lego Number Plate.  There was a proper plate on the top of the car attached to a roof rack.  Still, great idea.

That was a bit of a taster of the event.

There was alot of things I didn't take pictures of.

The retro driffiting was brilliant.  One of the guys kindly driffted right up to the barrier spraying us with rubber bits.  My white T-shirt was now black.

The Monster truck was also brilliant.  The guy did a doughnut in it!  The power & noise from it were amazing.

The Jet car was also brilliant.   Lots of action at the start, while they tested the after burners etc.  Then up to the line.  Five seconds later it was all over.

My favourite though was a race between two Deloreans.  They didn't make it to 88 though.
Shame.

For more pictures, see the Retro Show picture Gallery.  There's a great you tube video, including a clip of the two Deloreans racing.

Finally I would've loved to had a go on the track, it was only £25 for the day, but I needed a helmet & arm strap as it was a convertible.  May be next year?
