The same rules apply for changing the diff oil as they do to changing the gearbox oil. Again Castrol Syntrax Universal 75W/90 is the recommended choice for this.
Again before draining the old oil it would be best to check that the fill plug has not been rounded off in previous attempts.
The differential takes 0.8 litres of oil to fill it.
It has been said that the rear exhaust box gets in the way when trying to refill the differential but using the tool suggested in the gearbox oil change this shouldn't be necessary. |
