An indicator bulb as failed in the instrument cluster. I can partially remove the instrument surround, but cannot remove it completely, as the wiring to the rear window heater switch is preventing it from moving very far. How do I gain access to the switch wiring, or can the switch be disconnected from the surround? |

It is cable tied under the dash. You need to cut that which will then let you bring the wiring plug out of the dash so you can disconnect it. |

How do I get to the cable tie? I cannot get the dash out, and cannot see where the wiring comes from. |

You have to get your head in the footwell and look up behind the dash I'm afraid. |

Thanks for your help. Eventually I managed to slacken the screws holding the instrument cluster in place, and then released the wiring that was trapped behind it. Refitting the connector blocks was a bit tricky, but all is now working. |
