While lurking about the garage waiting for them to nail the new rear discs on (of which more later) I was uncharacteristically consumed by a need to do something manly and practical.
Being only too aware of my limitations and having already recently explored the outer limits of my mechanical expertise (topping up the washer bottle), I was momentarily at a loss as to how I could achieve my aim.
But not for long.
Seizing a screwdriver (of the wrong type as it turned out) I attempted to jemmy the sun-visors off.
I can't imagine what sort of strange dwarfy shape (sorry) you'd need to be in order to find these things in any way efficacious and apart from that they feel like the stuff that old ladies support garments are made out of...erm .. so I'm told
With a pitying smile I was handed the right screwdriver and about an hour and a half later I had them both off.
With the addition of a couple of those grommety things it all looks quite professional... by my standards at least.
No, honest. Try one side and see what you think. It makes things look "neater" somehow. Go on, you know you want to. |
