Now at this point I can hear people say 'why didn't you use MDF you'd be finished by now'...???  ...and true enough, I probably WOOD...lol, but this excercise is to show just how to make this thing from Fibreglass....Not only that, MDF Will add unnecessary weight to the Shelf which is going to house a Sub anyway.

Remeber the Bucket...???, well I decided NOT to use it as it has a slight Taper which then made it impossible to use. So, I got myself a piece of 'Corrugated Plastic' sheet...For what I'm going to use this for, it's ideal.

....once it's dried, you just Peel it off..........just like the Original Parcel Shelf. So, get some of this or similar material that is flexible enough to form a curve but rigid enough to hold the weight of the Fibreglass.........I'll come back to this bit soon......

I presume that's the "cheap stuff" that you don't see much of anymore rather than the polycarbonate sheet that is easy to get but danged expensive?

Bendy MDF is easy to get hold of as well.

Ha Ha Ha.....Cheap Stuff indeed.......Cost...$0.00, it was on the bottom of the Pallet I was emptying at work, so.....this is like 'Corrugated Cardboard'
3mm MDF was the other option, which, to get the radius required, would still need a sizeable sheet, at least as wide as the Parcel Shelf, which when attached would need to be trimmed, and if it's MDF you use, once I show you where this is going, you will have to cover in tape and foil......

Hole cut, Resin mixed, paint some on the inside then stick the piece to the hole using the circle mark and the line on inside........Turn on it's side.

Cut your strips of Glass Matt, Paint the edges and the piece up to the inner/small circle, then apply Matt to cover the edges first....then when fully saturated, cover the whole piece........Any left over Resin can be applied over the top. I forgot to mention that if you should have 'Left Over Resin' after all matting appplied, just paint it into the corners of the work....this just adds strength and a bit of weight.

Whenit's dry enough to stand upright, put the enclosure back into place....should be a snug fit. Now need to mark the 'Trim' lines from underneath.

Sand down the edge until you reach the 'Recess piece' then smooth over ( round ) the edge to the Black Circle....I could've used the Router, but thought I'd practice on wood first....I used my Dremel...

.....just deep enough for the Cable to sit in. If you happen to 'Go through' the Fibreglass, don't panic, You just add more to the inside.....

Originally, I was going to cut a recess and place a 'Tube' in and 'Glass over to create the recess, but this was easier. As you can see, won't matter too much if you go through, easy to repair this small section.....

Okay, while Crisp gets his head together, I'll press on. Cut the Corrugated Material or whatever you found to form the curve we need and attach it to the small sides you cut earlier.

Tape the edge where it meets the MDF, so it wont stick. Now, if you have used MDF for the curve, you will need to cover THE ENTIRE thing in Masking tape then apply the Alfoil just to make it easier, before applying the Fibreglass.

Can you now see where I'm going with this and what it's for...??? Yep, this will form the the Curved Front to the Storage Compartments......Now, left in one piece, when It's finished could just be used as a LONG DOOR as per one of Crisps' ideas.........but as we have the Sub Enclosure in the middle, I will be making 2 Compartments.....

Apply the Fibreglass and leave to dry, then apply a second layer.
As you can see, there is no need to cover the entire piece as I made this longer than necessary 'cos it will be cut back to size.......The 'Glass Matt is 1m sq...cut in half.
If, when I remove it, the curve doesn't look smooth, I will apply to the outside to form, but that will mean a lot of Sanding/Filling and Smoothing to get the desired finish, so I'm crossing fingers.....

The Storage Compartments are next........To get these, Mark where the Sub Enclosure sits on either side. Then, by following the same procedure as the Sub, we will end up with 2 Compartments. Stay Toooooned.
