For sale signs blow down my street - I find them in the gutter!

What about painting it body colour Sneaza - the Mercury silver?

Yes, they used to use them here, but they blow down too and break too easy so they're mostly back using plywood.

Sand down the Curved Front....this was because the Plastic Corflut...as Matt pointed out, wasn't smooth when curved....ah well, all trial and error, so, this will be smooth when finished and Have to apply more 'Glass to it as we progress anyway. Trace around the Top Shelf we made earlier......

So,..........out with the Dremel........and sorted. Now need to get them 'Keyed Alike'....If I was installing this in my Cap, would get them done to match Ignition/Door Lock Key.

Thanx CG, not sure how it would look as nothing else in the Interior is that colour, but then it's not going in my car.....so...???

Thanx Matt, if I'd realised it was going to create Lines, I would've gone with original idea of 3mm MDF or the Poly sheeting I found later at Bunnings.....

Ah, flocking, good idea, CG - they might want that idea on the other thread  - Adaptronic ECU? AZ pod? LCD adaptation? or whatever mod to the dash.

Flocking will stop the unwanted reflections on a modified dash.

Like you did on 'Smashie'...???, good alternative.........Link to it...???That would be very useful for the interior of the Storage Pods as well.
Spraying a Matt or Satin would eliminate the reflections, but I guess that is Stating the Bleeding Obvious...???

It's the same as I'm using on Smashie yep!

Not the same people I bought it from but I had to get grey/gray flocking from the states like this stuff (black might look nice and neutral on the inside of the enclosure?)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Silver-.....p1638Q2em118Q2el1247

As a rough guide I bought 10 ounces of the gray flocking and only used a third of it to do the parcel shelf, dash, and all other interior plastics

Cheers hemanismyhero, glad you are enjoying it....so much more to come.

CG, Brilliant, found someone in Qld that sells in small jars, but the USA stuff seems to be the go....much appreciated. Have ordered the Black for the interior of the Pods......not sure about covering the rest as yet, will have to see.

No worries, I'm sure it will look good - maybe even upholster the outsides with grey vinl to match interior? (clark rubber).

Trim the Pod now as close as possible to the finished article......Then sand the inside as smooth as you possibly can, because you will have a bit of trouble doing it with what is to come and thanks to Capgun, the smoother these insides are, the better the 'Flocking' will stick.....but they bon't have to be perfect as I'm sure the stuff will cover any Minor imperfections.
Previous picture also shows where the Curved Top needs to be Trimmed to....before the next step.

, Notice the GAP.....Got carried away with the Trimming......but the good news, It's Fibreglass and I can just ADD to it..... .
As you can see from this pic, the 'Flat Spot' from the Corflute. Though it's a pain in the a*se, it will be rectified as we progress. If I'd had used Polycarb or MDF, as stated before, wouldn't have to worry about this.....
The ripples are from the foil and don't interfere with anything.......
Normally I would skim a layer of 'BodyFiller' over this, sand smooth then paint, but, I am more than likely going to add some of the 'Flocking' stuff to the Outside as well so this will speed up the progress and if it works, will look 'Factory Finish'........Like the bits CG did for 'Smashie'

With both stuck in place you can then see just how much needs to be sanded back to ensure the Top is flush with the Sides.
