Well, after 9 years in Japan and 10 years abroad (previously living in the Maldives), it is now time for me to return to England. Planning to change career somewhat and make a full transition from education into the IT industry, which I've had a personal passion for since I was a child. I've done IT support based work over the past 10 years working in Japan and the Maldives, but this is the time to make the full movement across. This year I've got my Cisco CCNA (Routing & Switching) and CompTIA Security+ certifications, and am now in the process of obtaining my Microsoft MCSA / MCITP (Windows 7) certification.
While it does mean I won't be able to get hold of Cappo parts for you any more (boo, I know!), I'd like to ask you to not be too angry and maybe to help me a little. If any of you know of companies that are looking for an IT/network technician and that is not asking for 300 or so years of experience in a similar role, then please let me know. I'm trawling the agencies online but so far, nothing.
Am also trying to relocate as quickly as possible (once a 4-week notice is given at my current workplace) if a position comes up. This is for work reasons and a couple of family reasons too that I don't want to talk about on a public forum, but I could really do with being home in the next month or 2. However, no job, no return
If anyone knows anything or could pass my CV on to someone, please let me know. I'd be eternally grateful, and would try to bring you a final Cappo present from the Land of the Rising Sun
