Haven't watched it yet... Got it taped so will watch it tomorrow probably...

Forgot to mention on other good thing that happened today......... No damage so no bodywork bills

Well not completely true...  We think the car has a cracked exhaust manifold which will require welding...  BARRY !!!!!!

That guy was so pi**ed...  He's been out working in Saudi for the past six months so missed the last couple of races last year. He'd spent a bundle on that car and it was absolutely immaculate...

I really felt for him poor sod...

Actually it's not as bad as it looks...  Structure was fine and so were all the mechanicals.. The estimate he got for the repair job from "XR2 Body Repair Man" was only about £500... not bad for a wing, one rear quarter panel, door, bits of trim, a rear light cluster and various other bits n pieces inc glass..

You're quite right Ken.. nobody goes into this with anything but an open mind and chequebook to hand...

That said it's the responsibility of all drivers to behave themselves.. This was an avoidable incident.. The guy who did the clipping should have backed off because there was no chance at all of getting through what was a non existent gap...  He got hauled up in front of the Clerk of the Course and given a verbal warning..  If he does anything like that again it will be a fine, loss of any points he might have or at worst, he'll get his licence suspended.

It's a pity but it does happen...  Some bloke called Schumacher used to be an expert..

Actually I have to admit I've gone right off F1...

I watched the race yesterday on video and found it incredibly boring...  In fact I gave up halfway through and went to do something else..

Yes it certainly does...  It's a pity though they don't also televise the support races..  The first Clio race was almost as action packed as XR2s...  I'm really looking forward to BTCC coming to Knockhill in Sept although unfortunately the Clios aren't coming with them..  Pity but good for the Scottish Motor Racing Club because the Knockhill Legends are going to be one of the support races!

Last year we met Jason Plato in our hotel... What a nice bloke he is..  Wicked sense of humour..

Motors TV does does doesn't it?  I know they used to.

The only BTCC driver I've met so far who wasn't a top bloke (or lady as there have been a couple) was Alain Menu.

No sorry - I meant the support races not the main BTCC...

But actually no... Motors TV is not covering the main BTCC either this year... They've decided to go for DTM instead because of the following in Europe..  Remember Motors TV is French..

I understand it will be on Setanta - which you have to pay for - with highlights and the last race on ITV3 or 4..

We need a UK Motors TV...  I've got a digicam... Anyone got a satellite uplink ?

I meant the support races too.  They've always shown DTM, ETCC and BTCC plus support races, wonder why the change.  Especially give itvs appalling coverage!

Off to Cadwell Park on Friday...  It's a long haul from here.. About 8hrs worth I think..

Practice on Saturday and two races on Sunday..... Weather forecast is good.....

The April race is on TV on Friday night... Motors TV at 21.00.  The Race and Rally UK programme. Should be good because it includes the XR2s, the Legends and some of the Classic sports as well..

Best check the schedules on the night because they do have a tendency to shift stuff around a bit..  French TV and all that.....

Yep - I've had the daft combination of a live streaming video of cycling on the PC - when there was no live streaming listed as it should have been screened on TV according to the Eurosport TV info - whereas other schedules (Virgin) said that bowls was on.

What WAS actually on when I checked ---- Women's football!

Maybe the French are no good at running TV stations?

But I do like Segolene Royal
