Such a lovely day and with such an awefulk one forecast for tomorrow I wenr for  a few hours drive, though not entirely sure where?

In this first snap, to the left is the road - I didn't realise it at the time, but a very long steep almost single track road or I'd have snapped a shot from further over for its' awesome view.
It's got a good 1/4er to 1/2 mile view ahead and some lovely but small very fast bends at the bottom (4th gear, limter kicked in *cough*).
Of course I'm not going to tell you where this road actually is     - partly 'cause I'm not actually sure myself    lol.
(I really need a satnav which to add POI's)

What a view across the other side of the road!
Looking West I think? (*makes note buy Satnav or compass*) over the northern portion of The Vale and south of Newark.
Somewhere over the hills and hidden, the A1 runs right across in front of us if I've got my bearings right?

There is a better way to get a better view of course .....  and that's by balloon.
These guys can probably see on a good day from Donnington to Skeg and over Newark to Mansfield one side to Melton the other, perhaps?

Same place, but this was behind me.
just thought I'd add it 'cause I liked it

And lastly, the sky-view

I must have been out nearly 2 hours and used just over 1/4er tank - £6>£8?
What other car could do 2hours mixed sauntering and "spirited" through the gears?

You'll have to excuse the size and quality of the pics as my host seems to have taken it upon itself to f-k with them .
I normally host myself using my free Virgin Media webspace, but since they put a new modem in they've not done the job right or there's a fault 'cause I have no FTP write/upload/delete access anymore

The Ballooners are probalby <5miles South-East or South-South-East of The Bears as the crow flies.

Went back to the same place tonight.
Just couldn't resist.

These first ones are taken at the bottom of the hill.
I had to stop to make sure I hadn't hit a very very young (and stupid) gangly little hare.
Tried to get a snap of the little fellow but he legged it too swiftly for old me to keep up    .
You know what they say, Hare today, gone tomorrow

These are pics I took last night that I should have got Friday from the top of same hill.

Lovely steep liitle road with an excellent long view ahead - hit the speed limiters with ease before I go even near to the bottom

Cheers, Dean, but think I might need a much better camera first, lol.

One of theose DSLRs would be nice, but the moneys better off getting spent on my Cappo for now.

So peed off now!

Just been for a ride and I reinstalled the new Cappo-cam.
The old ? Cappo-cam is long since knackered and it's been replaced by a Practika DCZ7.1.

Not sure why, if it's the camera, seat position or the mount, but I've now got 3 problems, one of which is a real issue, the other two just me being really peed off :

1) the footage is bouncing around like Newcastle City centre on the mother of all p#ss ups. Bearing in mind the raods around here aren't the best to start with
2) It recorded the Ferrari convertible I followed - but because of issue 1) it looks sh#t -but did get a little sound clip     - nice
3) Memory card ran out just afterwards and ~2mins before a huge big almost white owl decided to fly in front of my for ages!

It's not just a case of being really wobbly, there's loads of  sound & video frame drop outs, more so later on than to start with, though some of this could have been due to the failing light?

You ever wondered how a slug actually eats?

Then wonder no further.

I caught this one trying to make off with the hounds tea the other night...

I hope he wasn't eye balling me!

Well, later last night whilst having a break from some piss-taking (car) photos on the net (LMFFAO!) giving my laugh-box a rest I realised it was foggy outside.
Not only foggy, but earliy light for gone midnight as well.
It seems what little light there was, was being bounced around inside the fog/mist.
Awesome!

Oh, forgot my Halloween pics!
The kids did the makeup.
I added the rest in PSP; fangs, pointy ears, horns, etc.
