Peeper is a gray cockatiel and I'm not quite sure if Horatio is a Pied or a silver-grey

How much is $2?? I know Horatio is very cheap to feed, and he is soooo worth it just for the laughs he provides!!!

It's just a one off though, you want the best you can possibly afford to make sure he's happy in his new home, pointless buying a tiny cage just to have to upgrade in a few weeks cos he's not doing very well!!!  Toys you can get gradually, as long as you have a couple in there for him to start. Yes it's pricy to start but i haven't bought anything since i got H apart from 2 new toys, and one of those was a discounted cat toy!!

Not at the moment, he's just sat on top of his cage snoozing, just like he has been all afternoon!!! He'll liven up just when the rugby starts, I bet he does!!!

Sounds very relaxed then! You can make toys for him in seconds Olyfan! I made Peeper a swing (bit of coathanger wire and a cutoff bit of broomhandle with holes drilled into the ends), A punching bag (bit of leather sewn up filled with rice!). I made his cage too - cost about 35pounds - some ally tubing cut to length, 2 flat bits of wood, some aivery wire and some cableties!

See if he likes apple in his cage Liz (he might be afraid of it being new though!)
