Tunnel brace in red. £144.00 +p+p  subframe braces £92.00.+p+p Turns a cappo from a sloppy old hector into a teenager on Viagra. Ask anybody who's got an under brace kit fitted the difference is immediately noticeable.

You appear to have two problems there.  Number 1 the flexi pipe is not in the standard position and number 2 it is hanging far too low.

It should look like this...

As you can see the standard position puts it further back and it also sits higher up in the tunnel.

I completely overlooked the fact my exhaust is considerably larger than standard when buying the kit hahaha. Using the jack i was able to lift the pipe up far enough. When i removed the jack, flex pipe was resting on the brace... not too keen on this so looks like i might hve to atack the brace with an angle grinder soon.

And the exhaust causes more problems up front:

Looks like i will be able to spacer that one out though. Ah the joys of mix and matching parts

Has your exhaust got all the correct hanger mounts welded to it?  It looks like it is just sitting too low and the fact that you can jack it up seems to suggest it can go higher.

That exhaust looks massive   The bars were built around the larger Suzuki sport system with 5mm clearance without the spacers. Get the exhaust tweaked don't cut the bars thats how and where they are supposed to fit the dimensions are the same as what you would buy from japan.

As far as I could tell, exhaust is using all the hangers. I think I might just to go buy some stiffer hangers as the exhaust is quite heavy and it's been on the car for 4 years now. Exhaust is 2.25" inner diameter all the way through. The outer diameter is huuuuge lol.

At present with the exhaust resting on (or very close to) the bracing the car shakes and vibrates like crazy. If I can't make it work, was going to triangulate the tunnel brace and simply fit a fat washer up the front. Shame about the powder coating though

It should have enough clearance with the spacers Ive provided for a 60mm exhaust. What make is the exhaust?

exhaust is a one off by a company in aus called Hi Tech Mufflers. Bouht it off a member who got it off another member so dont what was going on while they were making it. If you want, feel free to move these posts into my cars gallery thread and out of here if its considered off topic.

Pics of it on the car:

As can be seen, the frnt brace bar only slightly touches (if at all) so a larger spacer should be able to do it no problem.

The tunnel brace on the other hand....still not 100% sure what im going to do with it hahaha.

I think part of the problem is that the exhaust system starts off too low at the front, does it use the mounting to the gearbox casing?

Dropping the bars too low will compromise ground clearance. I could have built a lot more clearance into the bars but they would hang ridiculously low. Did you put any of the spacer washers on that i supplied you with?. It maybe worth taking it to an exhaust shop and get them to move the flex back a little and lift the front pipe up. I think we should keep your post here too because it does highlight problems that can arise with custom exhausts. All future inquiries i have about these products i will advise according to what ever exhaust system they have installed.

yep it starts quite low and im fairly sure i did see it mounted to the G'box casing at one point (right before it enters the tunnel)

The ground clearance isnt much of an issue for me. While the capp was off the road i lived with a car that was ~40mm off the ground for most of its time with me. The shorter wheelbase also helps get over the higher/wider speedbumps in my area.

The pics babove didnt have the spacers on the tunnel brace, the first time i put the brace on they were there though. I actually dont like the idea of using large spacers either, but as this is just a short term fix until i butcher the tunnel brace. Im still going over the design but luckily ive got a few mates to do the strength calcs for me so i can see which design is stiffer Oh the joys of CAD

I got my under brace kit from Steve last week and had it fitted yesterday by my mechanic (only person I know who has a lift.. instead of me jacking up the car).
He commented on how well built they are and that the finish is very good.  I think they look fantastic but just a shame no-one will see them
When I took the car out of the garage I immediately noticed the difference.  The body is flat through corners and there is very little flex in the chassis now (no creaking from the roof panels at all unless the road surface is really poor).
I took the car for a drive to a friend's house 60 miles away and the journey was a mix of motorway and windy country roads and I was just blown away by the difference the braces made.
All in all, I am absolutely thrilled that I bought these and I would recommend them to anybody.  Steve is a real gentleman to deal with.
Here are 2 pics of them on the car (apologies for the quality and the angle, the car was at a relatively low height but you can see the braces quite well).
Thanks for everything Steve!!
