Saw a nice black Jimny yesterday Liz - on the Hereford /Worcester road near Storridge, near the Bosbury turn. Unfortunately we were rather involved in something ast the time so couldn't stop and take a look. That 'email you when one comes up' site has produced a big zero btw!

Shame you couldn't stop at the time - perhaps a trip out at the weekend to have another look?

I see them all the time! My freind lives in a high rise building - like most buildings like that they live in the walls... And I've seen them underground by the hundreds (not pretty!) and I used to rent with a few other mates (pizza boxes and stuff everywhere!

Christ that sounds like my nightmare.

I've never seen one, never want to either. I'm not squeamish and very little gets to me... but for some reason those things scare the sh*t out of me - just the thought of them.

Is it true you can hit them with a hammer and still not kill them!!!!!!

Not unless it's a foam hammer!

This is true from 2 nights ago! I went to bed about 5am, uncovered Peeper and turned the light on, after awhile I noticed a big spider (about the size of the palm of your hand) on the wall so I went to kill it with a DVD case!

At the last second it dropped to the floor and went into the junk on my floor - cappo parts, tools etc! I went to sleep (couldn't find it!).

Last night I was reading about 3am and Peeper was uncovered (towels off cage) as usual next to my bed. After awhile he started continously staring at the ceiling above me. I thought he was looking at the lamp beside my bed but it was the spider from the previous night! Got dressed and kept an eye on it, I found a small clear bucket and stood on my bed to try and catch it... I got really close and popped it around him - trapped, yay! Then I had to walk on my bed and drag the bucket against the ceiling  and try and reach a bit of paper so I could put it on top of the bucket against the roof (spider was still clinging to ceiling! ). Eventually managed to reach a bit and made the spider go into the bucket. The paper would be too flimsy to keep the spider inside so I kept it against the ceiling (arm was getting sore by now!) and reached a DVD case... Carefully let the bucket off the ceiling to put the case over it.

Took about 20 mins to do all that while Peeper looked on confused! I walked outside onto the highway and let the spider out far away from the house!

If I'd been renting I would've just got out the deoderant can and a lighter! There were scorch marks everywhere! lol! Other good one is vacuum cleaner it up and then chuck a handful of flour onto the floor while the vac is going to suffocate it!
