This is my 1989 R31 Nissan Skyline Ti
For those who are not particularly familiar, This is the Australian Built model with a RB30 non turbo engine with Electronic Fuel Injection. The Ti is the luxury model and comes with Electric windows all round and Cruise Control. Unfortunately it missed out on the LSD But that is something easy fixed
It is an extremely comfortable car to drive and perfect for commuting around without much effort (automatic transmission) and still has enough power as standard to overtake the odd car/truck on the freeway, or if you just want to put your foot down sometimes.
This is an old pic but the only thing that has changed is the removal of the headlight protectors. Hopefully will post up more soon. I did had a pic of the rear to show the Stovetop tailights but cant find it at this moment.
The wheels are 15' Nissan Pulsar 4 stud items and it has been fitted with aftermarket window tint.
The stereo is headed up by a Sony item, with an unknown amplifier powering a 1000W max output Boss Audio Subwoofer and twin 75w RMS 6x9s in the parcel shelf. This will soon be changing to a Kenwood Head unit with 3 RCA's with a Soundstream 420 watt amp powering the subwoofer and a 4 channel kenwood amp powering the same 6x9's and 6.5' splits in the front doors.
Other then that It is all pretty much standard. But future plans are in development depending on how funds go. But saving for my Cappuccino at the moment is first priority!! |

You should have entered it in the Classic Japanese Show & Shine in Brisbane that was held recently. Put on by the Nissan Z car Club, out of 9 awards 7 went to Nissan/Datsuns. |

Interesting you say that actually...
My father has an '87 wagon with original roof racks and champaigne colour paint in better condition then mine (he's had it since '89) and we entred it into a show n shine through SAU and put it in the running for Best Classic Skyline.. We would have won but half way through the day an '84 R30 rs turbo model showed up.. it was in averge condition and the front seats didn't match.. The organisers of the event told us the only reason it won the category over us was because it was older. therefore more classic.
It was a shame but still alot of fun and a good day out.. + the show was featured in HPI magazine and we managed to get background in a few pictures that were included in the feature lol!
Thanks for your interest Grant, I would Enter it but I'm from western sydney and this point in my life the drive would be abit long. |

Looks nice - keep saving for the cappo, don't worry too much about your stereo! (you don't need 6by9's when you run a sub!) |

Lol CG my 6x9's are for my midrange. and Im a 17 y.o. P Plater driving a OMG Uleh skyline. Ofcourse I NEED a stereo!
I dont have a 2.5 inch exhaust extracting gases from a tuned 3 cylinder turbo engine that can rev to 8000 and go HSSSSSSSSS PSSHHTTTT!!!
But I will keep saving hard out for it ofcourse!! because thats better then any stereo anyway. |

Lol. Yess keen reader!!! I do have fronts (standard.. but 5w RMS lol.) but since the sub and 6x9's are powered by an amp.. They are never heard, therefore not worthy of any mention I should take them out, reduce my weight and consume less petrol !!
But after riding shotgun in Will's machine today on the cruise, alot more penny's are heading to that second savings account! lol |

first timei got a ride in the cap i nearly shat myself! Previous owner (i believe was 60+) took me for a spin and missed the guter walls by about 2-3 cms on every corner, hit 140km'h in a school zone then decided to do a little donut before going back! Back then i thouht it was a beast, but the adaptronic has changed that cant imagine what it would be like to have 90+ kw at the wheels in a cappa, would be 'interesting'
*back on topic* I also had a R31! owned it for about 5 weeks then sold it when i got the cappa! feels like a long time ago(only 8 months) but am glad i made the decision to go with the cappa, wouldnt trade it for anything in the world.... except for an AZ-1! |

Cheers for the interest guys!
Matt - The cruise was my first true ride. Will had given me a quick spin when I introduced myself to him one time at a weekly meet down by McD's, I was impressed, But the cruise had me with a larger smile on my face You should come down from the Sunny state and join us one time!
Chernobyl - Interesting 'test ride'! That Old man's a legend! haha Considering you have owned an R31 aswell, you shall know they are great cars! But too big! lol. I will be keeping mine, and have the Cap aswell. Even though you feel some 'attachment' to your first car... The cappuccino will always be above it!... If only the RB30 engine was small and light enough to fit in the Cap.. haha..
As a matter of fact, Right this instant I am searching for different savings accounts with a higher return interest rate!! |

The other day I went and bought a Genuine Nismo Radiator Cap and kinda went overboard and ended up with a new K&N Air Filter aswell. Tho I dont regret it! The respose and power of the car has improved and it has a new sound that is abit more like a performance car should sound like! love it
Pics will be uploaded if there is Interest |
