Its a b-series, but it didnt come in that car so that must mean its swapped in. As he's got a half size rad im leaning towards B18 rather than b16 though. Either way, both are capable of quite abit of power. My b16 is pushing nearly as much power as the jap spec B18 type R now, just i dont have the same amount of power below 5000rpm lol

Nice stuff on the car btw =D

Oooo frankenstien! (asif you can call it a b16! )
B20 from the CRV or the LS?
Nice works on the cams, i had a set of type R's in my EF8 but B16b cams worked so much smoother for some reason. What's your rev limit though? most jun springs should be right for around 10k, but as its a b20... sounds abit risky to me lol?

Power wise guestimation.... round the 120-130kw at the wheels if its tuned right id think. Ive got ~113kw at the wheels from my crx at 8700rpm so im sure with the 25% extra capacity youd be hitting somewhere around there =]

heh i still say its a b16 under the hood when anyone asks.

its a block from the crv.. ur'e right..ive heard from my mech that it can rev up to 10-11k but he limit mine to the stock red line cos of my gearbox being an auto (still good fun tho)

i plan on changing to wilder cams in the future and getting a manual gearbox for it.. kinda hard & expensive now cos the malaysian government is restricting the import of half cuts and 2nd hand spares FML.

im sooo confused with the power estimates, some read higher some read lower.. some really high from what is and some really low.. :S

so, just as long as i enjoy driving it, its all good

what gen crx are u driving? i had a gen 3 b4 i got the cap had to sell it cos i didnt have space to put it

haha yea, im with you on that one, who cares about the number aslong as its fun =D

And ive got a second gen crx. EF8 to be precise Sadly there wasnt one for sale with the glass roof when i was buying :/ Wont be keeping it for long though, need a 5 seater now lol.

Auto -> manual conversion is a b*tch lol. Might be different for honda's but the car we did it on... the clutch pedal was a major pain to say the least. Ended up cutting the whole thing out and putting in the pedals from a completely different car. So annoying lol.

I haev heard about mix review abotu high reving the B20 block ~~~~

TBH, from what i read and experienced i wouldn't really rev the B20 block, you already get so much torque down low there is no need for the high rev .

As for engine code on the block, is to the left of the exhuast mani, sand it down it should read something like B20z ?

Mine was replated to pass pits in malaysia it reads B16a2 lol.. cos its illegal hahaha

about high revving it, the block itself will hold pretty much 9-10... no idea about 11 though... think it will crack hahahahah

All depends on how you build the block, splurge enough $$$ on it like somepeople down here are willing to do and it will rev to 11 all day, any day lol
