I had classic car club membership for a couple of years.  I borrowed cars when they were cheap by getting them off season and avoiding weekends, but thier pricing structure has changed a bit since then.  In the first year I had 40 different cars over about 100 days of the year for a cost of £4k.  The previous year my Alfa 156 V6 had cost me over £2k in garage bills, insurance and tax so I felt I could justify the cost somehow.  The second year I traded in my alfa with them.

Some cars I'd always liked turned out to be crap and some I'd always thought were crap turned out to be fantastic.  You never know until you try it for yourself.  Trying all these cars made me seek out a cappuccino.

The important thing to point out is that IMO, only two of these cars were more fun to drive than the cappuccino - Ferrari 360 and Caterham Superlight R300.  Neither of which can be driven daily.

Here's the pics

Aston Martin V8 Vantage.  Very quick in a straight line.  170 mph in it's day.  Gorgeous sound.

E92 M3.  Far too heavy and computer controlled.  Very quick though.  I much prefer the E36 M3.  Hats off to BMW though for all their M cars.... they're devilishly quick but they are all devoid of any character.

Lotus Elan S2.   Quite an enjoyable car, not hugely fast but very involving, and also comfortable when cruising.   Lets loads of water in when it rains.  Puddles in footwells.

Bentley on the way back from an event on the New Forest with a couple of CCC mechanics.  Getting back into a Bentley after having just topped up a volvo with water and push-started a VW is an odd experience.  I also like the way it doesn't quite fit into parking bays.

Late model mini cooper.  Not as fast as I'd hoped but this one had loads of extra weight.  Even had an electric sunroof.
