Cheers Jaik. Looking forward to testing it! Just need the rain to stop now so I can fit the ARC box. Hope you're not too displeased when you see it by the way. It polishes up quite shiny!

what does it do????????
The Super Induction Box?
It's a replacement air box with a much larger filter. Hopefully should get around the hot air ingestion problem I was having with the K&N cone filter.

Not a chance as the panel gaps still need sorting. The Stevie Wonder paint job isn't going to win any prizes either lol.

It does polish up well, but you know that's not my style
Andy, regarding the problems you had with the K&N taking in hot air, I've never found the ARC box to have that problem at all. Plus, I felt it after driving a few times and it was always pretty cool.
Did you leave the little air hose from the front cross member that feeds the stock airbox on? I did but I have no idea if it would make any difference.

I didn't as it came away with the old airbox Had already thought of putting it back on as it will keep the cross member dry if air is being drawn through it, which is the most likely reason it is routed like that in the first place.

LOL......What the hell is the Under Bonnet Colour supposed to be...??? Black with Red speckle...or Red/Brown with Black smudges...LOL Clean It !!!!!, before the New box looks like the Old one
Looking Good btw, I removed the 2 Rubber hoses...Couldn't for the life of me figure out how they would actually work.....would've been more practical to have the 90 deg one behind the gap in the bumper for maximum effect...??? ah well. Let us know if you notice any difference.

Red/Brown with black smudges It is actually painted that way with some sort of rust protection stuff. The best thing I can do really is finish the job off and totally paint the engine bay black.
As for the convoluted air intake route the idea is that the air is sucked in from the back of the passenger headlight, through the front cross member, through the 90 deg elbow and into the air box. The only reason I can see for this is so that there is a flow of air through the cross member to keep it dry and free of condensation.

Do we know if it works.....can't see much air getting in from behind the headlight... guess I should get the hairdryer out and point it and see.....
Well it would be sucked from behind the headlight, where the air should be quite cool, rather than be forced in.

Yeah I get It , just want to see if anything gets in, forced or sucked....lol, wicked thought, and actually travels the intended route thru the cross member....will check tomorrow.

How much would it cost for an engine bay respray? The job that Almasi made of his looks great!
I'll do it myself and spend the money on something else

How the Hell did you manage that while you were driving...lol,
Just went out with the Hairdryer...No hoses connected on mine, so Blew Air directly into hole on FULL POWER with hand over other end, where your filter box is.......only just felt it. Given that the original has that 90deg hose behind light, that there is NO direct path into said hose and being doubtful you'd get anywhere near as much air as the Hairdryer....I Cannot see this making any Improvement at all, if in fact it would ever work to produce the necessary air into the air box...???
Have you had it on the Dyno...a sort of Before and after thing...???
Yeah I doubt it would get much if any air moving through there now. With the original box all the incoming air has to come through there though. At least that's the theory.
