I don't think I tried in front of the strut brace actually.  Definitely worth a thought!

The problem with that one is the size and trying to find somewhere to fit it under the Capp's bonnet.  I made a cardboard mock up of it and struggled to find somewhere I liked.  In the end I went for one of these.  Nice and compact.

It does indeed have a drain plug but it's on the bottom so will probably need removing from the car to drain it anyway.

It collects the oil vapour that is usually fed back into the intake.  This isn't good as it then goes through the turbo, coats the intercooler pipes, collects in the intercooler and also lets some back into the intake manifold to be burnt by the engine.

Stupid emissions, health and safety etc, etc laws.  Some catch tanks have a breather that lets it vent to atmosphere and this is a big no no.  A bit like a vent to atmoshpere ABV

I would suggest that all Cappos should have one fitted though as the engine will be a lot happier for it.

Olyfan, have a look on Page 5 of SNEAZA Album, 'bout 1/2 way down and you'll see what collects and why EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE........ ,

Yep there are plenty of those type for sale on Ebay but their size restricts where they can be fitted nicely on the Capp.  This one will fit perfectly where I want it to go.

I've actually already fitted it.  Well temporarily, with cable ties for now, in the same position as yours.

It does a little as it pushes it a little further out towards the accelerator mechanism but it should be fine once it is fitted properly.

I might make one out of some ally pipe - tap a hose fitting to the bottom so that it auto drains on my driveway (not on the road!)

Yep not bad but in the case of that car next to the EVAP canister would have been a much better choice.

It's the black canister at the side of the intake manifold just under the hose going to the brake booster.
