Just a quick question, do you have any problems with the muffler hanging down so low? Were you able to clear speed humps on the stock springs/struts? If so, is it still an option for the street even with the Suzuki Sport coil overs on?
Finaly is you rear bumper melting from the heat?

And i must say, your steering wheel is lookin mighty fine :> Might have to find myself one, or something similar :>

Sorry Chernobyl only just noticed your post!!!

Exhaust doesnt hit the ground or melt the bar...the old system did have a kink before the angle which use to hit. But since going a 2.25 inch the exhaust place I took it too did the system nice and flat. I have no problems clearing speed humps the car is actually 100mms from the ground. Stock or coilovers only scaped with the old system. New system is fine!

I am more than happy to get a photo.

Quick update. I have order parts from Nick in preparation for my next track day in August. Heading off to CBC Bearings today to get my Oil Seals.

Below is a video clip from the recent jdmstyletuning.com (Aussie site) Cappa made the cut lol...but shows people who arent in Syd just about the JDM scence has grown!

Enjoy!

Haha.

The lol must stand for LOTS OF LOVE
Because we all love our cappas lots.

I know my plates, I just hope theyre not taken when i get mine lol.
Which is now being pushed back even further Yes Im doing a justin lol.

Ive been offered the chance to go on a trip to Japan to go to Toko Autosalon for 2 days and visit different tuning workshops and see the street scene over there, aswell as an oppurtunity to buy cheap parts, so if anyone wants anything, let me know
I see this as a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for me so Ive decided to take it which has inevitably forced me to use my CapFund :S.

but how many first year apprentices get to go to japan on a street car culture contiki tour?

The editor said the is the chance of them helping out with some things involved in shipping.

I'd have to talk to them about whether a container could be organised and ofcourse, only if theyre be enough interest to fill it

could be a possibility tho.

I wont know till much later on exactly which workshops I'd be going to. Most probably the main ones aka HKS, Top secret, NISMO etc etc but I do have a free day on the trip, so who knows.

TaiI have no idea what the spring rates are....leaving in Sydney with the shittest roads in the world can be a bit rough but than again it makes me feel hardcore.

I actually got my mate to get them in for me Suzuki Sport actually have their part numbers on their website.

Okay another visual update as I am a broke and cant any major performance mods

So I picked up some clear side indicators thanks to Sneaza.

Such a small thing in my opinion made a HUGE difference!

Changing the white globe to an orange globe

Hmm...Being that these are not made for a Cappuccino the hole for the light is different.

Lucky where the globe sits it just rubber after some squeezing she fitted like a charm!

I reckon it gives it such a modern look!

Okay So I went to a friends place to work out what offset would suit my flares. The wheels we tried on where geniune Watanabes 14x7.5 + 4.....Conclusion was 14x6.5 + 20 on front and +25 on the rear should have the wheel suit flush with the bolt ons or +14 Front and rear with some camber for an agressive stance.

Now time for pics!

So when it comes to work the body I am thinking TE37s, Watanabes or SSR Mark IIIs

Also on the weekend I shall be attempting to installed a Sparco Sprint Junior Fixed Bucket seat.

Not many people in a Western country have out one in a Cappuccino I shall be taking a fair bit of pics documenting it.

But pics from last night!

Okay so I was sick of getting red knees after a track day....sure the Cappuccino is nice and tight but with the leather seats you can still slide away abit. Now there are not to many people in Aus especially (as far as I know I am the only one) who have put a fixed bucket seat in their Cappa.

With the MX5 (Cabin space is similar between the two) theory that the Sparco Sprint Junior fits and all you have to do is modify the stand rails to fit. I was on a look out for a Sparco Sprint Junior...I saw one come for a price I couldnt look past. I took the plunge and went for it.

The Seat I purchased

Time to remove the standard seat which is held on by four bolts.

The original seat which will be fixed and will then be used as a seat for my PS3 steering wheel.

Removing the standard rails, so far so good with my theory.

So now it was time to mark out the hole. Bolted the standard rail with one bolt so I could see where to drill the hole.

Okay hole is marked time to drill!

Success!!!

I did need to do some trimming to the wholes after abit of experimenting I got it.

Now it is a very tight fit...I had to get a spinner between the door sil and seat so I could get the last bolt in.

This is NOT recomended if you have a bad back & is a daily driver. I struggle getting in and out now...but once your in you seat so much lower and I can actually see better through the window plus the I don't move in the seat which really compliments my tyres, diff and coilovers. Best mod EVA!

Yes the wing does hit door....as long as you slam it you'll be right.
