Well I got a nice bit of post at work today.  The Suzuki Sport strut brace arrived from Steve.    Of course I fitted it as soon as I got home!

My Suzuki Sport racing wipers and number plate surround (only one instead of the two ordered though. Steve is giving Japan some stick for this as they have charged him for both) arrived in the same package.  Not had time to fit them yet.  Need a new number plate to fit the surround too!

Not sure yet to be honest.  I went for a short drive after fitting it but not really given it a full test.  I have to say though it seems to have made things a little smoother.  The road I drove down is very broken and you can only get one side on a decent bit of road at a time.  It didn't seem anywhere near as bumpy tonight.  I also had the roof off on the way back and there didn't seem to be as much flexing of the body.  The drive to work tomorrow will give it a good test as I drive down a national speed limit dual carriageway which has a few roundabouts.

The added smoothness is nice, but wait 'til you chuck it round a roundabout

It is yes.  It needs a proper heatshield making though but I'm still waiting for the sheet to be delivered.

Well I'm going to have to think of a drive to work that involves even more roundabouts!  The car feels absolutely fantastic!!  Milton Keynes must be a great place to live lol.

Well I haven't got any sophisticated equipment fitted lol.

The improvements that I have felt so far -

Smoother ride on broken roads - I presume due to the shock waves being now shared across the car.

Less body shake - especially with roof removed.

A much sharper and more stable feeling round corners.  It really does feel much better going round roundabouts.  Feels like it is going round on rails!

All in all a much more enjoyable ride (hard as it is to believe it can get better)

Wow. Where did you buy that from? Are they expensive? Are they easy to fit?

I bought it from Steve at Levois Suzuki Shop currently listed at £169.98

Very easy to fit which is a good job seen as I don't read Japanese!  It comes in three parts - the two end brackets and the middle bar.  I bolted the bar to one bracket, fitted that, bolted the other bracket and then bolted that to the bar.  The brackets simply use the existing three upper suspension nuts.  It also come with a new bracket for attaching the electrical connectors.

The difference in corners is great isn't it Andy The only shame being that you'll get used to it soon enough.

Is it the Type 2 like mine Trevor?  If so I'd definitely go for it if I was you.  As long as it won't cost more than Steve's price of course!

Trevor, if you don't end up getting that one then I can recommend the Cusco brace, it does the job nicely. I have to admit the Suzuki Sport one is nicer looking and if it's aluminium then probably weighs less too.

That is virtually identical to the Suzuki Sport one.  The mounting brackets are the only differences I can see.

My Suzuki Sport Strut arrived today along with my brake hoses and Suzuki Sport raditor cap!

Starting working at 1 tomorrow, so I'll have a busy morning fitting the strut and changing the coolant before fitting my new raditor cap!

The brace is a doddle to fit and won't take you long at all.  Bleeding the cooling system after draining and refilling is another matter lol.

Seems simple enough! Its great the way you get a new bracket for attaching the electrical connectors as mines seen better days to say the least!

Anyone know what the nut size is that connect it? Was thinking of geting some stainless steels ones on the way home? Look like 10mm or 11mm form the photo's?

The three suspension top nuts you mean? They're 12mm but no idea on the thread.

How does that work in the M6,M8,M10 Scale? I think M6 is 10mm and M8 is thirteen. Is that right?
