How does this process actually work magmig? Is it like a big all-over transfer? If so how's it done - feeding parameters into a program and using CAD? I assume you start with a silver car and would have needed a different colour wrap to cover say a red car? |

Olyfan, the design is printed onto self-adhesive vinyl. The design is just done in 2D. |

blimey - I have enough trouble putting a window sticker on 100% flat - it must be a nightmare doing these wraps - no matter how anti-static they are?

Yeah, it is a real art to put these things on well- will take several hours even for someone who really knows what they are doing.... I had it done by someone I know (could'nt do it myself- our digital printing is mainly on fabrics). Pretty much you could anything you like on there including full photographic images, I have seen the most amazing car wraps/boat wraps at trade shows on limo hummers in Las Vegas- really fantastic! I kept this really simple as it was the first cappo he had done (think it was the first cappo he had seen!) so had to make sure the design was easy to follow from one panel to another- if there is loads of detail there is very little margin for error or it will look obviously mis-aligned. Anyway- no he has done one it will be easy the next time & will go for a more complex design- what to you recon, I was thinking about a some sort of sunset skyline? What you guys go for? |

To dry your towels as you drive along? I thought they were door handles myself |

Believe it or not, they are perfect to carry a bag & quite a bit cheaper than a luggage rack! |

We looked at this company for a car wrap.
http://www.raccoon.co.uk/hampshire
Any design you want or any vector graphic and they template the car and then apply it for you and it covers the whole of the car.
They quoted £900 for the whole car (based on smart car size)
But be warned they only last 3-4 years.....
PS those bars on the back, are they really grab bars from a disabled toilet? |

Oh, veryu nice indeed, Magmig.
Real shame this beauty wasn't ready for the RSCS I'd have very much loved to see her again, this time with those new "colours".

Mag has promised to get some more pics when he gets chance too. I doubt they will do it justice though as the old wrap looked better in the 'metal' than in the pics. |
