Great Shot Jaik, reminds me of taking a Wrong Turn ( The Wife couldn't READ the WELSH Street sign coming out of Conway ) and ending up driving through Snowdonia....in November '92. Brilliant.........

High res version (1.7mb)

If you want to look at this a few times, save it to your computer so it doesn't eat into my bandwidth allowance too much

This was one of the very few times I had the roof up; it was freezing at the top of those mountains, heater on and driving gloves time. I took it off when I pulled over next of course

I wonder if my driving gloves mime routine will make it onto the DVD

That's right, only tents don't actually make me feel violently sick I just don't like being incredibly uncomfortable!

Lol!

That's why if you per chance of an OLD ferry like an old Manx one you'll see several things placed differently to those horridly designed (probably by Euro numpties) new ones where everything's in the wrong place.

All the best bits used to be in the CENTER of the boat - the bit that moves the least!
The Galley, the Captains cabin, the Duty free (can't have those bottles of MacCallan rattling too much can we?), the Bursar and most importantly .... THE BAR.

That's what air beds are for, though I think I'm stuck with just a foam roll in my "cappo camping kit"    which won't be as comfortable as the nice BIG comfy airbed I had last week.

Thought I should probably put some more photos up now, since it was over 6 months ago. i'm getting quicker They're in some kind of vague order.

Start point at Brands Hatch

First re-fuel of many!

Me leading the way down the French autoroute

A crash we found. The woman driving the Fiesta had underestimated how damp the road was (it looked like it was drying but it was ridiculously greasy still) and oversteered straight into a family's van. Luckily no one was injured, just very shaken. We managed the traffic flow with radios for about an hour until the emergency services arrived and cocked it all up

The old Reims GP circuit

Supercharged Honda Type-R engined Elise with tasty suspension and a few other bits. This could eat pretty much anything else on the road for breakfast, it's phenomenal.

Arriving at the hotel in Monaco

Some of the tastier cars were invited to be parked up on show in casino square in Monte Carlo

The view from the Vista Palace (which has it's own helipad)

And a firework display put on especially for us!

Brief pitstop to top up the coolant of Brendan's GTO before we attack the Stelvio

Leaving the hotel at the top of Stelvio in the morning after

Heading down the Stelvio Pass for another run before we leave

Getting onto the tunnel on the way home, it was a totally bittersweet feeling. The most amazing week I've ever had and I knew there were only a few hours of it left!

On the train I tried out Bachi's 360 for size and got a permagrin

And Phil's mint-condition Lambo Espada

And a few more assorted ones...

Moments before Adrian and William's brown trouser moment with a gravelly hairpin, missing section of armco and 300ft drop. We were wetting ourselves for a long time after that (you really had to be there)!
