Hi there, yes the teeny machine was only completed this last week!!! (well almost just little bits to do yet).  There is a story behind this cappo 2.  My husband bought me cappo 1,  3 years ago as i had admired them from afar.  Well when he took me to see it i started picking fault with it saying a bit of rust here, a bit there etc., bit of a perfectionist really.  No problems he said, don't worry i will work my wonders on it and sort it out as i was wanting like a new sports car that was not going to drop apart.  Anyway over 2 years on, all body parts including engine striped out, shot blasted, fully restored - only the body shell to do but still a hell of alot of hours to go as you can imagine.  Anyway as you can appreciate with work etc., i knew it was not going to be on the road this summer, so yes we went out and got cappo 2.  Got the beauty back, give a TLC, then Steve gave her extra TLC and this is what you see cos she did not look like that when we got her.  We thought she was pretty but now she is a stunner.  She has certainly turned a few heads in our quite little cul de sac where we live and i think everyone wants one now!!!! LOL.
Work will resume work on cappo 1 in the new year as Steve wants to put his feet up for a bit and i need to save like crazy cos be honest cappo parts are well crazy prices LOL!!!
Anyhow we hope to go to Thorseby Park on Sunday, so if anyone going can wait to see you all there.  Take care!!

Lovely car JJ.

I have noticed that the sleeve that protects the speedo cables coming from the diff has come off of the grommet going through the rear bulkhead. It needs to be taped back on as this is an easy way for water to get in.

How long will it stay this clean? - don't know!!  but its certainly had alot of paint chucked at the underside so it should keep the dreaded tin worm at bay for a while.  Here's some more pics

Well done Andy - go to the top of the class lol.  Have you seen one on - we put it on once and both rolled around laughing, but i suppose it's all down to personal taste.  Steve thinks it look like a shopping trolley with a bin bag thrown over it.  When you are sat in it when its on you feel like you are in a canoe. Steve's head is just a bump on the other side and keep tickling my leg to let him out.

Dany brought along one of his fully refreshed CappuccinoSport Cappos to JAE and that had the tonneau.  Looked ok but not for me.  I know Olyfan wouldn't be without his though!  If you don't like it get it on ebay as they are rare as hen's teeth.

Yep - I love mine. Not had my roof on for 4 months straight now!  Suzy lives in the garage in her tonneau. Looks quite retro I think - plus you can drive with it on and just tucked down the back of the seats and quickly close it down when you park.  I use it when parking somewhere reasonable - never in a really pikey place - but brilliant when visiting somewhere decent or if you are staying within eyesight of the cappo. I reckon it makes the car personally. Wish I'd had mine from the start. I got mine via Marcel in Holland.

Andy's right - if you don't want it - you can make a cool £350 - £450 on eBay or even on CC classifieds very quickly.

Ooaps olyfan not knokin the tonneau's practical atribute's, our's is different to your's, it is made of a stiffer material like the roof panel covers are there 2 different types????
will take a pic of ours with it on some time and see if i can learn to love it cos don't really want to sell it as the wee car came with it and is rare!!

Mine is stiffer than the roof bag material too - very high quality fabric - like you see on Morgans and the like

Awwwww cheers Andy!!!!  Thanks for the support today.  Don't mention the LH W M to anyone it is on the winter list once i have had my fun over a so called summer lol!!!!!
Great to have won an award it proves our little cars are still recongnised and it is a tribute to my husband having spent 6 months being away from me and locked away in our workshop, slipping his brunch under the door but seriously though it was a thankless task completely cleaning and painting the underside of the car to preserve it just for me for a long time we hope.
