I spent last weekend on the road for about 20 hours or more driving from Melbourne to Sydney in Silvery 
It went fine as usual but because I left late at night the first time I needed petrol there were no petrol stations open!  I had to stay in a cheap motel where a possum came through the roof next door about 4 in the morning screeching and making weird noises when it couldn't get out again! lol!

| Set off again about 7am when I got some fuel and got past by this huge tank on the highway - he paused beside me shrugging his shoulders (left hand drive) before taking off again! Sort of gave me a 'whatever floats your boat' sort of a look! |

thanks Liz, that was a straight section of a curvy road! I was having a duel to stay in front of a slow Suzuki swift on it! He was going too slow (100km/h) so I overtook him and he kept trying to overtake me for the rest of the trip home
This is him below after he momentarily overtook me while we were overtaking caravans and boat trailers! |

You'd end up dead over on our roads - stuck behind caravans, tractors, porsches etc for mile after mile after mile - and no chance to overtake except risking oblivion.
Great pics CG thanks for those - gives us little Brits some flavour of a real big country and proper roads.
