Hi Ricou, not been doing anything much of late other than trying to get it set up correctly (my Beat has been demanding attention recently!) Thought I had it right till I had it on track at Donnington (Japfest2) when it started over-boosting in top! Getting the boost curve right has turned into a major headache - it's getting the balance beween the static wastegate pressure and the settings in the Adaptronic right - up the static pressure and the bost improves at 7.5K plus but then I get over-boost at 6.5K and have to redo the Adaptronic settings, it's a real juggling act!
I've started work on a new airbox to go where the intercooler used to live and I'll post some pics when thats done, I've also got a couple of other changes in the pipeline (watch this space )
...and the 0-60 is about 5 seconds, got the OH to time it when I pulled away from the tolls at the Severn Bridge, can't get an updated time as she's refused to get in the car since then
Interesting stuff about adjustable wastegate and boost controller interaction. So it's as a read about it, increasing the wastegate pressure (via a stronger spring or an adjustable actuator) leads to higher boost at high rpm, boost that can't be reached only by the boost controller... that's something I'll have to play with one day
Anyway, you said 0-60mph in 5s ? Oh my. I want a video of that !
Not that I don't believe you.
...
Alright, I don't believe you
Not that I don't want to, but I need proof, that's all
