Nice!

Can you take a picture for me? I need to know how many place is from the exhaustports to the frame.
A picture straight from the front where i can see the ports and the frame would help me a lot.

And best would be the distance from exhaustports to the frame in both directions.

Many thanks

There are a few new things, but there are issues I still have to resolve before I can start using the car for real.

I had the HT-07 rebuilt, it was the exhaust seal that was fucked, according to the shop.
I did most of the engine break-in (1500km) with a stock turbo, everything seems fine this time, no oil consumption
The HT-07 is now back in the car. I had forgotten how big a pain in the a** it was to change a turbo

Here are the issues I still have and what I think I should do about them :

- At idle, the engine randomly stalls, and for no apparent reason. It can happen after 10s or 3mn.
It's not the Adaptronic's idle settings. I have raised idle to 1300rpm, to no avail.
Current lead : a bad contact in MAP sensor's connector

- Trouble with engine start. After reverting to stock ECU for diagnosis, engine starts fine so it has to be my Adaptronic start settings that suck balls. I need to fiddle with it again.

- Oil leak right at the junction between oil-pan and engine block. I witnessed the mechanic putting sealant paste on it before refitting so I don't think it's that. My only guess is the oil-pan is messed up so I'll have it replaced.
No, I won't do it myself, it involves removing the gearbox and I can't be arsed.

- My alternator is dead, and so is the starter motor (no sh*t ! the engine has been stalling a lot, and each restart took a toll on him). I'll have them rebuilt.
Only trouble, getting the starter motor out seems like f**king IMPOSSIBLE so I'll also have to find a garage  willing to do that too.

And after all the above is fixed, I'll be able to start upping the boost and adapt the fuel and ignition maps so I don't blow everything up.

Sticking with the HT-07 for now, it may be big enough to fulfill the ~130bhp goal.

But I know someone who did mount the exact same RHF-4, and I drove his car a bit.
This big turbo doesn't start to make boost before 4000rpm, and forget anything like full boost before 5000.

Apart for the turbo his engine was mostly stock, so on mine it might come to life a little earlier, but that's still very peaky and I think that's a bit too much for me

Well, scratch that !

A french Cappo owner helped me get the starter motor out two weeks ago. Took us 2h to get that bloody bolt off, but we did it ! Couldn't believe it.
Also got an alternator and starter motor rebuilt here in France, it was expensive (400¤) but at least I won't have problems with those two anymore.

This sunday, another friend gave me a hand getting the gearbox out in order to change the oil-pan.

Seems like the clutch didn't get contamined by oil, which is a good thing.
The crankshaft seal on this side of the engine is new, so it was unlikely the oil leak was its fault, which is now confirmed.

The new baffled oil-pan, made by another french cappo owner, Michaël (he's got a Facebook page some of you might already know : https://www.facebook.com/mypocketrocket/ ).
Might be a bit useless but better safe than sorry, right ?
