Got it a few weeks now so time to put up some pics! It's a '93 JDM red cappo.
Btw, as you can see the cappo fever didn't take a lot of time to infect my mate
I looked it up and it appears mine is the high spec model with the airbag, abs and lsd. Pretty happy it's got lsd as standard..
Mods on my cappo are longlife ss exhaust, boost gauge, turbo timer, hks bov and open air filter. All done by the previous owner.
Currently I'm thinking of putting in a switch for the speed delimiter. Gonna try to use the original fog light switch. As there was a fog light present (aftermarket) but I took that off because I didn't like the look. And they aren't mandatory here for a car of that age apparently.
Just need to figure out the wiring of the original foglight switch, but that won't be a big problemas far as I can see. |

Had a go at tinting my window. Found some tinting foil lying around and decided to give it a go. However, the combination of me doing it alone + me not cutting the foil the right size resulted in a pretty crappy tinted window.
But I've got a good idea of how it would look with all the windows tinted.
Also some pics of my front splitter painted and fitted (thanks bob!)
And today I decided to give the calipers a little color. As im typing im waiting for the paint to dry so I can fit everything back together and get going with the other side.
For some reason some pics look a bit orange but that's due to the cellphone camera I guess..
Oh and I repainted the wheels too! I just realize I do a lot of painting |

I'm really liking the splitter too! It's got a very standard blend in look I think, but also very different from the original.
I just painted the wheels the same color. There were a lot of knicks and scratches and black spots. I couldn't make up my mind about painting them black. So I just went with the original color.
Here are some shots of the calipers finished and the painted wheels too. (You can still see some paint on the front tire)

Do you mean the polished lip on the rim?
I could've done that but there were ugly spots there too so if I wanted to keep it and look nice polished I would have to polish it up again.
So I went the easy way and just painted them too. |

Hi Ezra
Luv ya work!!
Where did you get your front splitter?
What type is it. I like it because it's sporty and subtle at the same time.

I actually don't know what make/type it is. But I got it from Bob_G (forum member). He sold like 4 of them I think. So if anyone can tell you it's him I guess!
Oh and I saw a post not long ago of a forummember selling his splitter on eBay. |

Some new clear indicators for JDM car have been released - they are about half the price that the Heartland ones were (which I'm guessing were the ones you got Sneeza). I think Ezra needs UK spec with side lights though, some here on Ebay;

I won't bid again then. No use in trying to outbid other forum members.
If anyone knows where to get them, or if someone's breaking a cappo, let me know!
In other news:
Got these in the mail today
I think I'm gonna paint them in 38 gray metallic, like the roof and mirrors.
I'm also thinking of reproducing them (if there's any interest). |

Aaaaargh !!!! ......... It's got ABS .......
I took mine out when the warning light came on....... I think that it was a botched design which meant it wasn't very reliable......
I also have an airbag but I'm fairly sure it's a standard diff... |

Didn't know there were cappo's with ABS and airbag, but without the LSD.
Haven't had any problems with the ABS btw.. Here's hoping there never will be!
Here's a pic of the rear light garnishes: Not a lot to see here, but enought to get the idea

Now that the engine is being worked on I took the time to polish some bits and pieces.
It's pretty straightforward. The only thing you need is time. And some supplies..
Here are some before and after shots:
I still have to do the mounts. But you can see here how the bar was before.
I still have to do the mounts of the strutbrace, the pipe that holds the bov, the dizzy cap mount thing and I'm thinking of doing the cam head covers + venting box |

Got some new parts today! The last of them, so now the engine can be built up and go back in the car again
Lightweight flywheel 3,5kg:
Looking at pictures never made me realise how small it is in real life. It's smaller than a sock!
New engine mounts (why not, while the engine is out)
And these I did need. Diff was making knocking noises sometimes. Most of the time while in reverse..
