Almost back together - have got the wing mirrors, wiper arms and door top trims to respray, and the door cards to put back on.

Oh - and the wheels to paint - thinking silver currently, but could do black? As am thinking of selling the car (to fund finishing my project car), if you're interested and want the wheels a particular colour, drop me a pm or email

And just to show there's nothing wrong with the other side (other than being next to a wall)

Looks fantastic

Athracite for the wheels?

Have the sills been done in a stone chip paint?  Also is the lower wing and sill all one piece on the passenger side or is the join just hiding?

Drop me a PM if you would like to be added to the ClubCappo Member Map.  More details can be found here.

The join is just hiding it is there, I promise!

And yes, thankfully it is stoneship paint, I know I'm not exactly good at most of these things, but even I would hope to get a better finish than that!

At the moment have got silver, black and white (although I'm not going to need a lot, can always get any colour Interested in a new purchase?

looks a lot better than when I last saw it - I'm presuming it's the same one as you had at the RSCS, looks good in white!

Thanks all - it is the same car that I was at the RSCS in (this year), and it is so much better than it was then, although as always seems to be the way with my toys, the fun is in building them, so once it's up, together & finished I'll be selling it.

Did wonder what black wheels might look like actually, or as you say, go for the same colour as the roof? I need to prep them anyway, so can put the decision off for now (could even do them in stonechip )

Think I've decided to leave the roof the colour it is - there are a few scratches on it, but it's not too bad, and the trims look a bit fragile to be taking off.

Paolo - I've resprayed the dash in my Chim (took all the cracked veneer off it) and that turned out even better than I could have hoped for - quite like this painting lark

Excellent!  When can I drop my car round then?  I've grown tired of the Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles paint job

Maybe I should re-phrase that - "am quite looking forward to painting my project car now, as it has no parts to remove, no door shuts, no masking and no difficult bits "

You could always do a vinyl wrap?

But then the wrap would have big bumps in it where it goes over the huge paint runs

Nice, I was going to ask when you could come round and re-spray the nose of my chim to get rid of the dreaded stone chips, but it looks like I will have to join the queue behind Andy
