It is only right to start a thread in the Gallery regarding the resurrection of something that once resembled to a Cappuccino

I'm gonna start with a report of the pics from the general section

The only people that are on strike in Greece are the civil servants.... lazy bast@rds

The were milking the government wallet dry and now they won't take a pay-cut....

The problem with Greece is that we have around 1.5-2mil civil servants....and that's a lot for a 11 mil country.

+ the last two governments(96-2004 , 2004-2009) were getting funds from the EU and spending them for their own personal luxuries or for the advantage of the 10 richest families in Greece.

+none of the politicians involved in the scandals went to jail

Our current PM really wants to turn the situation around and trust me he's trying his best but when 25% of Greeks won't fork out to help, it becomes to tall order.

If he fires half the civil servants, everything will be ok. That's our biggest(and the only serious) problem.

Previous PMs were using s-klasse Mercs and Audi A8s or BMW 7 series. He's using a Prius.

Oh, and it's not as bad as the media shows it abroad. Actually the media make it worse for us.

England has the same percentage of shortfall in the annual budget. . 12.7% of GDP for us and 12.8% of GDP for England.

The guy just called me to go and pick it up. He is using a VERY fine black-coloured sand. I asked him what kind of sand it is and he replied "black-gold" so there you go....i sandblasted my car with crude oil PMSL

Price was 100 euros btw

To be fair this is the quickest Cappo restore to date. Been following this from day one. lol I'm also looking forward to the finished thing. Love to see how it attacks the rust and stuff...and whether it gets in all the nooks and crannies...

Sunday was sunny(that was when he sand-blasted it)
Monday was sunny and I was too busy to go and pick it up
Tuesday was sunny and I was too busy to go and pick it up
Wednesday was sunny and I was too busy to go and pick it up

Today I had spare time so I drove a Toyota Hilux Flatbed to go and pick it up.....

....The moment.....

and I mean the EXACT moment I took the canvas off the shell so I can load it on the Hilux....

..... TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR.....

Drove 20kms with the shell on the HiLux bed.... visibility was 20 metres tops...

Pictures to follow tomorrow....

Unfortunately the shell was soaked in rain-water

Next step is spray-gun with Phosphoric Acid solution.

Then....start repairing and replacing panels...

My idea of fun is a 3-rotor cosmo....I'm getting too old for this... anyway.. I'm still going to rebuild it so.... watch this space

The most likely scenario is that I'll get so fed up rebuilding it that I won't want to drive it
