Thought i should start a wee thread to show progress
This is how the car used to look in 2008
photo taken at banzai day and crail
as many people know the car has been getting rebuilt by a guy in fife, slow and steady progress. i went to see the car today so thought i should take some photos to share
so far, the inner, outer and middle sills have been replaced on both sides, front bulk head and front arches repaired
the rear bulkhead, and rear inner and arches are to be replaced and the outer arches repaired. also after all that the car will be getting resprayed in the same red for the third time
as you can see clearly here the rust on the arches which will all be getting fixed to
also in the photo you can see in the photo, the sills have been replace but the inner arch at the bottom corner is rotten, this carrys on through out the whole inner arches so got brand new panels from suzuki to replace them
and just the other side aswell
comments welcome

You're obviously spending quite a bit on this then. Will be a stunning, solid car when finished that's for sure! |

Very nice job, have you replace all three sill section (inner, centre and outer) or is the centre the original? New rear quarters too?
Love those wheels too! |

was up doing so more work on the car last week. bumpers on, exhaust back on, interior all fitted and put the roof back on for the first time in 3 years. surprised but happy it fits. polished the whole car also, thanks to stu again. should be mot'd next week
obviously the wheels have not been refurbished and are going to be changed anyways got a front lip. (pictured on my brothers car before he had his respray)
genuine cross front lip. these are ubber rare and have never seen another one in this country.
its now black and will look like this on the car

7 years of ownership, 7 months on the road. But after another tear and a half off the road, the car is finally mot'd with a new clutch, new discs, pads and calipers all round, and a HKS exhaust
Will be on the road next summer, no doubt with a lot of smoke from the rear tyres...... |

So it's been a while since ive updated.
After having a good couple of months with the cat last summer, it's been in the garage since August.
Decided since having nice weather I sunday it was time to do some work.
And just one of my new intercooler that will be front mounted, once I've moved the radiator back an inch

Just discovered your thread mate, the car's looking great! Where are you roughly as I'm super close to getting mine back on the road after a rear end rebuild over the winter. I'm in Edinburgh |
