As a few of you know I took possession of gr8guy's metallic dark green cappuccino, 'he' has grown up quickly since being born!

He was in pretty good shape when I bought him but needed a bit of tlc - blown exhaust manifold, ripped seat - nothing too serious

Bonnet and boot need respraying but mechanically it is pretty good shape - new brakes and suspension, no rust and new tyres Over the last few months I have been repairing bits and pieces and getting the silicone hose kit in the engine bay fitted (fiddly!). This is how the engine bay was after I got it, I have removed the catch can and all standard hoses and replaced with the red silicone version, just need to take a pic when I'm done because I wanted to keep all the hoseclamps the same etc - not different types and colours. |

Took the seat covers off as they weren't really my thing - the originals are off getting trimmed atm - should be done in a couple of weeks (custom trim)
I have removed the original alarm which was playing up - the remote battery had to be installed opposite to what the remote said too!
The IAC valve had fallen apart where the plastic hose extension is on the end of the solenoid (the capp was raising and lowering in idle when up to temp and this cured it after rebuilding).
Also after removing the radio the capp came with I installed the Nak MB100 I had on the shelf (green to match the car! - LED dash lights going in today too ) |

I got given the hose kit and a bunch of spares so I was very fortunate there
The strut brace is in Silvery atm but I think it will get powdercoated in black or red when it goes back on this cappi.
I have a few fully tig welded stainless overflow and radiator bottles too that will find their way into the engine bay, you can probably just make out the large one for the coolant in place of the standard plastic item. |

Installed the four T10 type LEDs (6 smd LED versions from ebay which had a diode to prevent against reverse polarity etc), they were cheap and what I wanted in order to change the dash light illumination... About 20mins to fit including dusting out the heater vents and behind the dash before I put it all back together again |

thanks Only downside to using LEDs is that the dimmer doesn't work anywore - full brightness or none at all! My seats are almost done now with new insert material. Going to do the grilles for the front and rear bumpers on Friday out of gloss black mesh (I think it will suit it!) |

All cappis in Australia needed to have a dimmer control added when they were brought here to comply with regulations |

Today I fitted an original bumper back on the front (thanks for sourcing and posting it Sneaza! ) - too many clearance issues and I think without having the matching bodykit for the bumper that came with it, that it looked out of place... Fitted grilles on the front bumper too, pics soon
kayfour - I think so... Met Nick Sawyer on here today and saw his nice Limited Edition capp like yours He was asking about a meet too! |

^ update your thread on it Danny!
I got a present in the post from Sneaza again! (thanks Dave! - straight after you coming from hospital too!)
Crux gauge holder that you've all seen before but makes light work of putting the two autometer carbon fiber series gauges in,,, I changed the T10 globes in them to the LED ones - same as the dash I have a single carbon fiber dashboard mount for the corner for when I get the boost gauge soon too.

Made some carbonfiber parts in preparation for what I plan on doing as a theme for this capp (stainless/carbonfiber etc), only simple objects because it's my first time using it, turned out ok though - i'll leave bigger objects to the pro's though
Centrecaps and the 'plugs' for the top of the dashboard... |

me = busy!
Got the seats back from the trimmers a couple of weekends ago, they were ripped in the middle initially from years of wear and tear... I opted to get them retrimmed in carbonfiber material to match everything else... Came up well - he left out the lines in the insert section of the seats because it would break up the pattern of the carbonfiber otherwise.
